PRACTICE EXAMINATION
• Before doing your practice examination, you should download and
familiarise yourself with the terms in the STUDY GUIDE
• You will have unlimited attempts at the online practice exam
• There is however a 2 hour time limit with 120 questions
THE FINAL EXAMINATION
DETAILS OF FINAL EXAM
• There will be 100 questions on the final examination
• The examination needs to be completed within 120 minutes
(2 hours)
• A pass mark of 70% is required
• The examination needs to be completed at a registered NASM
facility like OPS
• This is a closed book examination (No electrical devices)
• You have a total of 12 months with three (3) attempts to
complete your final examination
WHEN YOU ARE READY
• You will need to schedule a time and date for your examination
using our new booking system online
• You will be sent a link to our new booking system so you will be
able to select a date and time that suits you and book your own
examination
• You will still need to come to OPS to do your exam
• You will need to bring with you the LOG IN DETAILS that you have
been given (Raymonds email)
THE BOOKING PROCESS
• Raymond, will send you a booking link, along with a log in and
password
• Examination days will be Friday evenings or Saturday afternoon
FINAL EXAMINATION
• Instead of a score out of 100 you will receive a PASS OR FAIL grading
• You will not be able to review your answers like the practice
examination
WHEN YOU SUCCEED
• You will be able to access your online certificate after 4 days
• Your actual HARD COPY certificate will be mailed your Education
Provider, we will then send it to your address or contact you for
collection, this usually takes around 8 weeks
• If you haven’t received anything by 8 weeks, contact your provider

EXAMINATION EXTENTION
• If you are not successful with your first attempt, you still have two more
chances to do your final examination
• You will need to repeat the booking online process each time
• If after your third attempt you still have not been successful, then you
will need to apply for an extension
EXAMINATION EXTENTION
• If for what ever reason you find you need an extension of
time to complete your FINAL examination…
• You can purchase an examination extension
• This will allow you to reset the exam 3 attempts and extend
your time by an additional 180 days from the date of
purchase of the extension
CERTIFICATION VALIDITY
• Your NASM Certificate is valid for 2 years
• In order to maintain your certification validity you will be
required to Re-certify every 2 years
RE CERTIFICATION
• You will need to collect a total of 2.0 CEUs
• 0.1 of the 2 should be a valid CPR/AED Certificate
• The remaining points can be obtained by doing other
registered courses / workshops, either live or online
CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS
• It is in your best interest to wait until your final examination
has been successful, BEFORE you do any continuing
education
• CEUs in excess of the amount required cannot be carried over
• CEUs must be completed within the 2 year period of your
NASM CPT certification
