LUMEN

BBB lights with Lithium batteries have

integrated smart technology. An electronic

system continuously monitors the strength

of the battery and modifies the power

output to maintain a stable light output. This

prevents a sudden total loss of light without

warning and above of having a safe and

usable beam of light.

Max lumen.

Quick and easily rechargeable

by USB design.

High power headlights also produce a lot of heat.

Therefore BBB head lights are equipped with ACS

(Airflow Cooling System). Due to the design of the

aluminum casing, the passing airflow cools down the

light significantly. Enough to prevent overheating of the

LED. For the worst case scenarios, the light has built-in

protection against overheating and will shut down

before it does any permanent damage.

LIGHT CONCEPTS

If you want to choose the most suitable light set for your bicycle, it’s important to have correct and comparable product data. Because

there is no international standard for lights, BBB mentions various values. With these values you can always compare our products.

To fully understand the values mentioned in the chart, we have added the explanation of these values.

Lumen is the best known unit to compare lights. The number shows the total amount of light (in all directions) emitted by the light.

Candela is the unit of luminous intensity. Candela indicates the amount of light emitted by a light-source in a certain direction.

The Candela values noted in the chart are measured at the center of the beam.

Lux is the amount of light (lumens) projected on a certain area. For example, if you have a light source of 1000 lumens, spread over 1 m²,

this square meter is illuminated with 1000 lux. When the same 1000 lumens are spread over 10 m², the same source illuminates a square

meter with only 100 lux. However, when comparing Lux values for different light sets, it’s important to know the distance from the light

source. The larger the distance from the source, the lower the Lux value will be. BBB measures the Lux value at 1 and 10 meters. The Lux

value at 1 meter is equal to the value for Luminous intensity (Candela).

Beam distance shows how far the light bundle will be visible on the road. The beam distance is tested according the FL1 standard.

You can find BBB values mentioned above in the chart on the next page.
