INNOVATION
O RLDWIDE
Libbey innovates. Others imitate.
Libbey Foodservice brands stand for
almost two centuries of quality,
consistency, and reliability.
Innovation has been a cornerstone
of Libbey’s image and history since
its creation in 1818. Libbey revolutionized
glassmaking — the world’s fi rst
machine-made stemware was
automatically produced on Libbey
equipment. Today, Libbey continues
to invest in new state-of-the-art
production equipment, allowing it to
create the foodservice industry’s most
signifi cant glassware introductions.
Libbey Foodservice sets the standard
in the foodservice industry. Its customers
have come to expect innovation as well
as quality and consistency in its brands.
It further reinforces its brand through its
strong brand images.
Syracuse China is able to produce its
pioneering dinnerware designs faster and
more effi ciently with investments such
as the new fast-fi re kiln technology, and
World Tableware is the leader in
bringing the most distinctive fl atware
designs to the foodservice industry.
In December 2002, Libbey acquired
Royal Leerdam, makers of fi ne European
stemware, and Traex, a leading
producer of warewashing racks, trays,
and a host of other smallware products.
In addition, Vitrocrisa, a joint venture
partner, is the largest glass tableware
manufacturer in Mexico. Libbey also
holds a distribution agreement with
Luigi Bormioli, a manufacturer of fi ne
Italian glassware.
Libbey Foodservice truly is igniting
innovation worldwide.
