Facilities<br />
• Crowne Plaza Tennis Center- The Crowne Plaza Tennis Resort located five<br />
minutes from campus became home to the <strong>UNC</strong> <strong>Asheville</strong> Bulldog Tennis<br />
Teams in 2009-10. The center has six indoor courts and six outdoor courts<br />
which gives the Bulldogs one of the best facilities in the southeast.<br />
• Greenwood Baseball Field- The field opened in 1988 and has a seating<br />
capacity of 1,000. Currently, the field can only host day games due to the<br />
absence of field lights. An agreement with the City of <strong>Asheville</strong> allows the<br />
Bulldogs to utilize McCormick Field for several home games.<br />
• Greenwood Soccer Field- The field opened in 1989 and has a seating capacity<br />
of 1,000. Currently, the field can only host day games due to the absence of<br />
field lights.<br />
• Justice Center- The Justice Center opened in 1963 and will remain the home<br />
for the Women’s Volleyball team with a seating capacity of 1,200.<br />
• Kimmel Arena- The arena will open in 2011-12. This facility will have a<br />
seating capacity of 3,200 for basketball games, and will be the new home for<br />
Men’s and Women’s Basketball.<br />
• Karl Straus Track- The track and field area is currently being renovated. A lack<br />
of funding has prevented the completion of the field house which will include<br />
storage, concessions, and restrooms.<br />
