Letter from the Founder
In 2006 while attending an International travel show in Shanghai, China with the company I represented Coach Skyline based at the time in San Gabriel, CA (a Bus
Charter and Group Travel Business), I was walking through aisles of the show meeting exhibitors travel companies from around the globe and the word gummy7
came into my mind. I don’t know why but I jotted it down on a notepad and kept it. In 2007 I joined Facebook after myspace kind a fizzled out and enjoyed posting
photos of places I visited and sharing stories of interesting people, places and events and more on Facebook with my friends some who i had not seen or heard from
in years
For most of my adult life I have always loved promoting, social gatherings, networking, travel, interesting facts, history. Living in California I was definitely
Influenced by Huell Howser who was someone we all knew with his interesting public TV series called California Gold which featured interesting people, places, and
history in California. The idea for gummy7 was born when I thought it would be cool to feature interesting people, places, events and more from Antarctica to Zambia
since Huell pretty much cornered the California Market. What a great job he did over the years. Sadly Huell passed and his shows may still be viewed on you tube.
They are well worth watching. Our Website gummy7 was launched several years ago and on the site we feature interesting people, places events and more from
Antarctica to Zambia and we are always on the lookout for new content to feature. In 2020 during these trying times for all with the travel bans my old buddy from
Little League days in South Pasadena, California Craig Kuhlman our CEO challenged me to start a social Platform for gummy7 where individuals could join our
platform and share their past or current travel tips, stories, adventures, favorites restaurants , events and more from Antarctica to Zambia. I researched the market
for social platforms outside of Facebook and connected with Tribe where we were able to use their platform and brand our own social platform gummy7.tribe.so
