Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas
from the Griffin’s
2020

2020
What a year 2020 has been, so without hesitation let me give you a snapshot of 2020 with a few photos too.
As usual we started the year an annual tradition near my old Hometown in Pasadena to watch the Rose Parade. Thanks to Kate & Steve Cipriani for their generous
Hospitality as usual. In January another tradition, we took to the desert to take in the PGA Tour event in La Quinta, CA. For most of February I was busy on the
Campaign swing making speeches at several events to promote my run for Congress as a House of Representative 48th District in Orange County CA. Although the
run ended in March in the Primary Elections it was a great experience I will always remember.
In March we were in Scottsdale, AZ for Spring Training and Golf another tradition and visited the Wrigley Mansion in Scottsdale with an old friend Craig Kuhlman
and his daughter Taylor along with Coby. The next week after we left Scottsdale the shutdown of the USA took effect due to the coronavirus pandemic and
restaurants, bars, schools, concerts , churches, movies theatres, etc were closed, something many of us had never experienced in our lives. Our travel plans to Bend,
Oregon for 2020 were canceled as a result of the pandemic as things pretty much came to a standstill from March up to June. To this day we are still not out of the
woods yet as to knowing when the world will return to the world we knew before the pandemic. We hope and pray things will return to normal so we can freely roam
about again soon. During the down time this year I was able to write and publish my second book a Fictional Children’s Book titled “The Adventures of Spot,
Brodie and “JB” World Paddleboard Tour” based on my paddleboarding experience with our pooches . Speaking of pooches, we still have 3 pooches living with us
at the Beach Hut in Sunset Beach, CA, Brodie, Sophie aka Spot and Dusty. Brodie our senior pooch has lost most of his eye sight and now requires help in getting
around. His long walks are a thing of the past as are his paddleboard rides. In September we took a little road trip for 3 days and 2 nights visiting Coby’s cousin
Craig who has a home at Hollister Ranch in Santa Barbara. We stayed in Morro Bay after our visit at Holister Ranch, another annual tradition where we met up with
friends for Golf in Morro Bay and Outdoor Dinners in Morro Bay and Cayucos Ca.
In June we started a Social Monthly Dinner Club called Faren’s Dinner Club where we meet up with friends once a month for dinner. This year we have had 3 dinners
all in San Juan Capistrano, CA, at Trevor’s on the Tracks, Sundried Tomato and El Adobe. We hope to plan more gatherings in 2021 .. My Kids Brian, Faren and Evyn
are all doing well and all reside in So Cal. We now have 4 grandchildren. Brian and his wife Jen have 2 children, Chloe and Ellie. Our daughter Evyn and her husband
Justin have 2 children Nixon and Ford. Coby has continued to stay busy in her real estate business as a top producing agent just as she was when we met 24 years
ago. Time sure flies. A few more highlights from 2020, my old buddy from my childhood Freddie Salas and myself formed the Chi Chi & Griff Ladies & Men Social
Golf Tour. We have had several fun golf outing throughout Orange County and San Diego County in 2020. In August of 2020 I started Ocean Air Christian
Fellowship where we gather on the beach on the 3rd Sunday of the month for Bible Study and Fellowship, followed by breakfast after ( outdoors) at Harbor House
Café in Sunset Beach. With all that said we want to wish everyone a safe, blessed and happy holiday season and pray for the pandemic to end soon. God Bless you all
and thanks for reading my 1st
Christmas letter .. It was kind of fun to look back on the year we never dreamed of !
Cheers !
