BHS LACROSSE<br />
On Saturday, November 3rd, all Varsity and JV Lacrosse<br />
players will be participating in the 10th Annual Harpeth<br />
River Riot Shootout sponsored by the Cougar Lacrosse<br />
Club. The tournament will take place at the <strong>Williamson</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> Recreation Center in Franklin on the corner of<br />
Mack Hatcher and Hillsboro Rd. Tournament seeding is<br />
based on your final 2011 ranking. First series of games<br />
will begin at 9:00 am and First place and Runner-‐up<br />
trophies will be awarded!<br />
All players should bring $10 entry fee and their<br />
NUMBERED practice penny from last season!<br />
See you on the field! STICKS UP!!<br />
BHS SWIMMING<br />
<strong>County</strong>, District and Regional Champion Brentwood High School<br />
Swim & Dive Team proudly announces Dennis E. McEwan as<br />
head swim coach for the 2012-‐2103 Swim Season. Coach<br />
McEwan has been coaching swimming for over 20 years and has<br />
over 40 +years of swim experience. He began swimming<br />
competitively in Flint, Michigan for the Flint Flyers at the age of<br />
5 and continued through high school. He continued his career as<br />
a college athlete at Ferris State College, where he also earned a<br />
BS degree in Chemistry and Biology. He competed after college<br />
in Olympic distance triathlons, and ironman competitions, as<br />
well as swimming with master swim teams for ten years. He<br />
has coached Ravenwood and Centennial High School, Excel<br />
Aquatics age group, and has been a masters coach as well as a<br />
Music City Masters Coach. In his spare time, he tutors<br />
chemistry, and works as a research and development chemist.<br />
Coach McEwan is looking forward to a strong swim and dive<br />
season with his returning state qualifiers:<br />
Seniors Zach Driver, Ben Flantzman, Max Ketschke (Diver),<br />
Logan Klinsky, Artyom Pavlichenko, Harrison Turney, Ellie<br />
Wenzler;<br />
Juniors: Alyssa Falls, Sarah – Catherine Hurlock, Marshall<br />
Nathan, Sierra Phillips, Rebecca Schenck, Becca Sinard, Sara<br />
Staats, Sara Waller, Carissa Waller, Addyson Wingo, and<br />
Sophomores: Jordan Breece (Diver), Paige Colaberdino, Isabel<br />
Forbes, Maddie Hoff, Clay Skoda, Addyson Wingo.<br />
Coach McEwan’s goals are simple. Work hard and win! He has<br />
hit the deck swimmingly with BHS practices every day at the ISC<br />
in anticipation of the Aqua<strong>Bruins</strong> first swim meet November 1,<br />
2012 at Oakland High School, followed by the combined<br />
MBA/Harpeth Hall/BHS meet at TSU on November 27,2012, and<br />
the always exciting Battle of the Woods – BHS v. Ravenwood,<br />
December 11 at 3:45 at the ISC, Brentwood-‐ home turf for both<br />
the BHS Aqua <strong>Bruins</strong> and the Ravenwood Raptors.<br />
Last year, BHS finished first in the <strong>County</strong>, District and Region.<br />
CONGRATULATIONS!<br />
BHS Varsity Cheerleaders came in 1 st in their<br />
division at the Blackman Cheer competition.<br />
BHS HOCKEY<br />
The Brentwood <strong>Bruins</strong> Hockey Team starts November with a<br />
3-‐0 record and wants you to join us at our next game.<br />
