Schools Knockout (SKO) 2011 - Athletics Australia

U16 national specifications to be used for hurdles & throws events.
Implement weights are:
Boys – 4kg shot put, 700gm javelin
Girls – 3kg (4kg) shot put, 500gm (600gm) javelin
Optional team categories
U14 Boys & Girls Teams (13 or younger, as at 31/ 12/ 2011)
� Teams must fill 8 individual events + 1 relay
� Teams consist of a minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 athletes
� Athletes can do a maximum of two individual events
� Athletes must do a minimum of 1 individual event
� There is no minimum age for competitors. All team members must
be bona fide students at the school, and teams may include
primary school students
� Events are:
Track – 100m (2 athletes per team), 800m (2 per team), 4x200m relay
Field – Shot Put (2 per team), Long Jump (2 per team)
Throws implements weights will be as per the U14 national
specifications:
Boys – 3kg shot put, 600gm javelin
Girls – 3kg shot put, 400gm javelin
Junior (U15) Co-ed Teams (14 or younger, as at 31/ 12/ 2011)
� Teams must fill 4 individual events for boys & 4 individual events for
girls + 1 relay (2 B, 2 G)
� Teams consist of a minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 athletes
� Athletes can do a maximum of two individual events
� Athletes must do a minimum of 1 individual event
� There is no minimum age for competitors. All team members must
be bona fide students at the school
� Events are:
Track – 100m (1 boy & 1 girl per team), 800m (1 boy & 1 girl per team),
4x200m relay (G, G, B, B)
Field – Shot Put (1 boy, 1 girl), Long Jump (1 boy, 1 girl)
