The study is aimed at discovering details of the park's grizzly bear population; where they feed, home ranges, and favourite habitat at different times of the year. Bears are darted, tranquilized from helicopters and fitted with radio collars so their seasonal movements can be tracked. The study was prompted by increased demands for more public access to the park. Can Kluane Park Grizzly Bears withstand more human encroachment?
