Darlington is the first town in the North East to begin mass community
testing for Covid-19. Testing began before Christmas in the Dolphin Centre
and will continue this month, with more community venues added to reach
as many people as possible.
Roughly 1 in 3 people with the virus show no symptoms but could be
spreading the disease without knowing it. By testing people with no
symptoms, we stand more chance of stopping the virus in its tracks.
Do your bit for your community by taking a Covid-19 rapid test. The test is
free, takes minutes to complete and you’ll get the results fast.
The community testing works alongside the existing test system for people
who do have symptoms – you should NOT use mass community testing if
you have any coronavirus symptoms. If you do have symptoms you must
self-isolate, and call 119 or visit www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
