The Tea on Ms. C

By Daniel Merrill

Ms. Cuvelier is a new teacher at New-Hartford this year.

She is 26 years old and went to college at the University of

Northern Iowa. At her time learning at UNI, she was a student

teacher here in the Dike-New Hartford school district, and at

Hudson. Ever since Ms. Cuvelier was young, she wanted to be a

teacher. In junior high and high school she played volleyball,

cross country, basketball, track, and softball. The main reason Ms.

Cuvelier wanted to be a teacher was because she likes teaching

very much and enjoys her time at the school. She specifically

chose New Hartford because that is where her parents taught and

it’s the place where she grew up. Both of her parents have been

coaches and teachers and she loved to see the difference they

made. Today, she works in the same building as her father and

says that it’s nice to work with family because it’s important and

now, she can see him in action as a teacher.

Welcome Ms. Cuvelier!
