NEW FACTORY TO TRIPLE DOOR PRODUCTION
Chigwell Window Centre, the Essex-based trade supplier of PVC-U and aluminium windows and
doors, has invested in a new 36,000ft 2 factory in Basildon, tripling its production capacity.
Chigwell Window Centre includes 6 Day Doors, the specialist supplier of aluminium bi-folds and
patios, which will also be operating from the same location.
Until the new factory officially opens in March, the company is manufacturing 24-hours a day to keep
up with demand.
While 6 Day Doors was only founded at the start of 2020, it has already launched two aluminium
products: the Ezifold bi-fold door, which comes with a wide range of configurations and slim sightlines
for high-end aluminium aesthetics; and the Cortizo Cor Vision Plus slimline patio door, a minimalist

PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS SUPPORT GROWTH

Composite door supplier, Endurance Doors, has reported investment in its brand, capital equipment
and new personnel, right across the business.
Most recently, Callum Shrimpton has been promoted to the new role of technical services supervisor,
responsible for the day to day running of the field-based service engineers, in addition to being the first and
expert point of contact for all technical queries. Elsewhere in the same function, Ben Dowell has joined as
product specification engineer and brings extensive CAD skills to Endurance Doors, which will be fundamental
in their new product development process.
To maintain the company’s ‘outstanding quality credentials’ Ian Lee has joined as continuous improvement

FREE PANIC HARDWARE GUIDE FOR INSTALLERS
Installers can now access all the information they need to choose and fit compliant panic and emergency exit
hardware solutions in one convenient guide.
The free guide has been published by Arrone, the sister brand of Hoppe, to help installers ensure they are supplying the

STELLAR: THE GO-TO BI-FOLD OPTION
The fast-fit benefits of the Stellar aluminium bi-fold have been hailed by installer, Langport Glass and Glazing in
Somerset.
Justin Davies, one of the founders of Langport Glass and Glazing, said: “We have been fitting PVC-U and aluminium
bi-fold doors for over five years and the Stellar door is by far the best door we have ever fitted.
“The time it saves us on-site is incredible. The knock-in beads are superb and the whole system seems to work
perfectly because little or no adjustment is needed. Even the glass can be toe-and-heeled without having to force the
glass to breaking point, which we have found on other bi-fold systems. We’ve fitted five Stellar bi-fold doors so far
and we are very happy with everything.”
