Fadiculous~!Introducing a casethat raises the bar onUW photography.The iPhone hasopened up the worldof photography onland. Now, with thehelp of DiveVolk, theiPhone 11 ProMax isallowing me to takeamazing shotsunderwater.Once you insert the phone and frame into the case, theend is closed via two screws and an O-ring plate(white) that expands under pressure to seal the case.The case goes down to 32m (110 ft) for sure. It may gofurther.The gel on the back face allowsfor touchscreen action at depth.Wow! It’s much easier than othercases that require sliding metalarms for navigation.The SeaTouch 3 case is made of sturdy metals with ahandle, different plastic inserts to snuggle differentphones (assorted versions of Android and iPhones).Impressive!COST: ABOUT $500I started without any lightswith the SeaTouch Pro2 for theiPhone 7 in Australia. This year I used the iPhone 11pro max and one light. I didn’thave the correct amount ofbutterfly clips to attach bothlamps so I used just one.Putting a GoPro in the middleof the setup might be my nextmove. That way I can focus(pun intended) on still shots.Although, the video capabilityof the 11pro max is amazing. Ijust prefer still shots.If you need any help decidingwhat specific parts you need,just email me. I had to figure itout on my own. Then I got alot of pointers from the otherdivers on this trip.AIR-DROP ME! AIR DROP ME!No matter what kind of UWcamera my fellow divers werediving with, most of them wereasking me to share my pics andvids with them. With theexception of GI Joe and BubbleButt who didn’t care aboutanything or anyone besidesthemselves, the entire ship -divers and crew - wereimpressed with the iPhone picsand vids. None of us couldbelieve how well the shotsstood up in quality with thearray of other camera set ups.What seemed most importantto everyone is the ease ofsharing - airdrop me!All of us, barring theaforementioned exceptions,wanted to pool our photos andvideos to remember the trip.Sharing is an important point.However, the cost and qualityof the UW case setup is whatgets me. If you can use a smartphone, you can use this case.Finally, it doesn’t require anentire suitcase to take on adive trip. Trust the minimalist.9
