A rather special
hallway design.
Miss M, has a lovely apartment
in Jesmond with Art Deco
features and decorated to suit.
The challenge was to install
hallway furniture that not only
worked from a practical
perspective, but also blended in
with the existing style and
colour scheme.

Elaborate cornice, skirting and
pilaster detailing.
Hand-painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Oxford Stone’ with antique
shadowing in ‘Treron’ highlighted in Old Gold, these tall, extra
deep wardrobes consist of three sections.
Two full height double doors and an armoire style centre
section, divided by ornate pilasters. Internally two sections with
half height hanging, the higher of both with pull down rails
and the centre section with three quarter height hanging also
pull down. Two large shoe drawers, two small garment drawers
and two internal jewellery drawers, each section with internal
lighting.
Additional storage behind each of the six doors comprising of
tall and medium boot storage, hanging for belts, scarves and
casual bags in the centre section.
Sections for handbags to the left hand side with additional
handbag shelves and glass fronted perfume shelves above.
Working in solid timbers, real wood veneer, or durable paint
finishes, we create the exact look you require.
Matching you’re existing decor or contrasting to create
a stand-out feature, we use hard wearing anti-scratch
paints, matched to Farrow & Ball, Johnstone, Little Greene,
Crown or Dulux colours. Or handpainted as opposite.
When we work with solid or veneered timbers
we use Littlefair’s Wood Finishing Products.
Where solid timber is used it is felled from
sustainable sources approved by the
Forestry Stewardship Council or under
the Program for the Endorsement of
Forest Certification.

A big reader and huge
Harry Potter fan our
clients daughter wanted
a Hogwarts themed
bookcase, with rolling
ladder in the corner
of her bedroom.
Standing over three meters
tall with fluted side panels
and ornate cornice.
This impressive piece of
bespoke oak furniture was
finished in golden oak and
completed with an
ornamental Owl ‘Hedwig’.
Daughter and dog Tyrian
were thrilled with their new
Hogwarts library.

Not far from Gosforth High Street,
our clients’ impressive terraced house
is being renovated to a high standard,
with great taste and charm.
NOOK’s brief was to design and install
a library wall in the first-floor living room,
around the original marble fireplace
and incorporating the doorway.
The library should be almost full height
but still expose the existing ornate
cornice and exactly match the original
high skirting.
The design needed to include storage for
a large vinyl LP record collection, many
books, wall lighting and door and drawer
handles collected by our clients.
A library ladder allowed access to the
highest shelves and fluted pilasters
suitable columns for the upturned lights.
Finished in Farrow & Ball Basalt Blue the
new library wall is another lovely feature
in a wonderful home.
