Recognising the significant negative environmental and health impacts of singleuse
plastics, in May 2019 the EU approved a pioneering piece of legislation: The
Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUP Directive).
PPC’s Nature Line is a symbiosis of three key-components for your brand:
It’s aim is to reduce the amount of single-use plastics, which are the biggest
source of marine litter within the EU today. According to studies carried out by the
European Commission, plastics account for 85% of marine litter found in the EU.
The SUP-measures include EU-wide bans and regulations to reduce consumption
of key single-use plastic items, among them plates and beverage cups by 2021.
The directive also includes single-use paper items with plastic lining (so
called plastic-coated paper) or with chemically modified polymers in their
fibre struture. These items are subject to restrictions even if they are certified
biodegradable and compostable.

As per July 3rd, 2021, single-use party plates have to be
upgraded from traditional products to “plastic free” versions
and severe guidelines for marking drinking cups need to be
followed.

PPC adopts a circular economy model which involves designing products with
optimized use of raw materials, recyclability and compostability. We minimize waste
and aim to extend the life cycle of products, where possible.

thanks to a connected hydropower plant PPC runs 100 % with green energy without
depleting finite resources or emitting greenhouse gases.

with design printing up to 6 colours for cold and hot drinks.
