Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in seven scenes

Down the rabbit hole
Alice is at home with her family on a summer’s day. There is a garden
party with many unusual guests.
Alice falls asleep in the sunshine.
The White Rabbit runs by. Alice is surprised to see him pull a watch
out of his coat pocket and he looks worried. She follows him down a
rabbit hole and she falls a long way down.

The hall of doors
Alice finds herself in a hallway with lots of locked doors.
She can see a garden through the keyhole of one tiny door but she is
too big to fit through.
She eats a cake that is labelled ‘eat me’ and drinks from a bottle that
is labelled ‘drink me’. She grows smaller, and then bigger, but she is
still not the right size to get through the door.
Alice starts to cry. Her tears become a huge pool and she dives into it.

The caucus race
When Alice swims in the enormous pool of her own tears, the water
in the pool makes Alice shrink again.
In the pool she meets a lot of strange animals swimming.
They all get out, and to help everyone dry off, Alice organises them all
in a race.
The White Rabbit appears and Alice follows him.

The Duchess and the Baby
Alice must deliver an invitation to a Duchess for a croquet party
hosted by the Queen of Hearts.
She finds her looking after her baby in her kitchen while her Cook
makes sausages.
The Duchess and the Cook fight. A mysterious, smiling Cheshire Cat
arrives. Alice takes the baby, concerned for its safety, but hands it
back when she realises it has turned into a pig.
Next, Alice meets the White Rabbit and the Knave of Hearts, who has
been accused of stealing the Queen’s jam tarts!
The Rabbit warns Alice that if she goes to the Queen’s croquet party,
the Queen will cut off her head.

Some strange characters
Alice is lost and asks the Cheshire Cat for directions, but he confuses
her even more.
She arrives at a tea party where she meets the Mad Hatter, the March
Hare and the sleepy Dormouse. The table is set for tea and they all
keep swapping places.
Alice leaves the tea party and meets a Caterpillar, who gives her a
piece of mushroom to eat that will help her change her size.

The croquet match
Back in the corridor of doors where she first arrived, Alice eats the
mushroom. At last she can fit through the door into the secret
garden.
The Knave arrives, chased by the Queen of Hearts and her guards.
He escapes, with the White Rabbit and Alice dashing after him.
Alice meets some gardeners painting the Queen’s white roses
red. When the Queen sees the gardeners, she orders that their heads
be chopped off. But Alice and the White Rabbit distract the
executioner and the gardeners escape.
The croquet game uses flamingos as mallets and hedgehogs as
balls. When the Duchess accuses the Queen of cheating, the Queen
orders her execution.
While the King calms the Queen down, Alice smuggles the Duchess
away. The Knave is discovered and arrested. Alice follows everyone to
the castle for the trial.

The trial
The Knave is accused of stealing a plate of jam tarts, which is
displayed as evidence.
The witnesses are called and they all accuse the Knave: the Mad
Hatter, the Caterpillar, the March Hare, the Dormouse, the Duchess
and the Cook.
The Knave is given a chance to defend himself and Alice tries to help.
However, the Queen is furious and the whole court chases Alice and
the Knave.
While trying to escape, Alice knocks over one of the witnesses. One
after another, they all topple over and the entire court collapses:
they’re only playing cards, after all.
In the middle of the chaos, Alice wakes up to find herself back at the
family garden party. Was it all a dream?
