All topics are based on general Sunni
principles and interpretations. The lessons
are true to the teachings of Islam. If a fact
cannot be verifi ed by the Qur’ān or Sunnah,
it has been excluded. The teachings of many
historical incidents involving nabis and rasūls
are carefully presented by eliminating biblical
bias and remaining true to the Qur’ān.
Students will gain an enlightened and proper
understanding of what the messengers did
and did not do.
All lessons in the Weekend Learning series
were reviewed and approved by in-house and
national and international authorities.
Teacher-friendly lessons
Books from the Weekend Learning series will
help make teaching productive and resourceful.
All lessons are presented in distinct units, and
they are arranged thematically. This will help
teachers focus on the theme of a unit and
make teaching easier and rewarding.
Most teachers in Sunday schools are
volunteers. Many do not have formal teaching
experience. They do not have time to prepare
lesson plans or research topics before each
class. The chapters in the textbooks are
designed specifi cally for the learning needs of
each grade level. There is no need for teachers
to tone down a lesson or otherwise alter it in
order to make it relevant to the class. We have
already done the work for them. Each chapter
is structured, resourceful, and easy to teach.
The length and depth of each lesson is ageand
grade-appropriate. All lessons are tailored
for classes 50 to 60 minutes in length.
