Aisle Containment
Belden’s aisle containment solutions eliminate
the mixing of hot and cold air in data center
environments to maximize energy efficiency and
lower operating costs. Our aisle containment
systems are vendor agnostic, featuring
innovative, transparent panels that are lightweight
and easily attached horizontally or vertically to
data center cabinets using a universal rail
system. The panels are field modifiable to meet
varying height and space requirements between
rows of cabinets, and from the top of the
cabinets to the ceiling. The aisle containment
systems can also interact with smoke or fire
alarm systems to ensure proper operation of
critical fire suppression and safety systems.
Solutions offered are for hot-and cold-aisle
containment system.
Vertical Containment
Vertical panels direct hot return air to overhead
return plenum, eliminating mixing and improving
overall operating efficiency of perimeter CRAC
units. Using a fully ducted cold-air delivery
system with vertical panels also allows cold air to
be placed directly into the cold aisle, eliminating
the need to use underfloor space for supply air.
Horizontal Containment
For raised-floor environments with overhead
obstructions or no ceiling plenum, non-ducted
panels form a roof to trap cold air, enabling higher
supply temperatures and maximizing available
cooling. This design can also be used for data
centers utilizing in-row cooling solutions.
Aisle Doors
Belden offers swinging and sliding door options
for the end of the row.
