Inevitably some information may become out of date over the period to which the booklet applies. Parents wishing to place specific reliance on a particular point are advised to check the matter with the school. All our prospectuses can be downloaded at www. pocklingtonschool.com or request a copy T: 00 44 (0)1759 321200 Application timetable Registration forms should be completed and returned to school by 3 December 2012. An information booklet including sample entrance examination papers is sent to all registered applicants approximately two months prior to the date of the appropriate exam. For entry in September 2013 examination dates will be as follows: Lyndhurst School (4 - 11) Pre-Prep Entry to Reception, Years 1 and 2 Current information for applicants 2012-2013 – 1 – 4+ to 6+ entry is by informal individual assessment. Applicants are invited to attend school on a normal school day at a convenient time. Prep Entry to Years 3 -6 Lyndhurst Year 2 pupils automatically progress to Y3. All other 7+ (Year 3) applicants sit the Lyndhurst 7+ Entrance Examination on Saturday 19 January 2013. Pocklington School (11 - 18) Entry to Years 7 and 8 All new entrants to Year 7 are required to sit the Pocklington School 11+ Entrance Examination on Saturday 19 January 2013. Lyndhurst Year 6 pupils are automatically entered for this examination. Entry to Years 9 and 10 13+ Entrance Examination on Saturday 23 February 2013 followed by 13+ Scholarship Examination on Saturday 9 March 2013. Entry to Sixth Form – Years 12 and 13 Offer of a place is made subject to GCSE performance and school report. GCSE grades should include at least 4Bs and 2Cs. The closing date for Sixth Form Bursary applications is 25 February 2013. Awards are made after assessments and examinations held in March 2013 (see page 12 for more information). Sixth Form Open Morning is on Saturday 2 February 2013.
