across the large Honeycomb coils, the variation frequency

(which is always evident while receiving) is raised to a very high

pitch. The audio frequency amplifying transformer fs.ills to

amplify it much due to its inefficiency at high frequencies. It is

therefore not bothersome. This circuit should only be used with

a loud speaker as the volume is tee great for a pair of headphones

to handle.

regenerative receiver, tte first tube being the regenerator and de

tector, the second tube the oscillator and the third an audio frequency

amplifier. The tickler coil T is the rotor of a variocaupler

rewound with 80 to 90 turns. A filter system consisting of resistances,

condensers and a choke coil are introduced so that the

variation frequency is choked back and kept out of the amplifier

circuit.
