ATM
The ATM is located in the lobby of the 2nd
Hotel Services
elevator.
BEACH/POOL SERVICE
Our guests can sun on our pool deck or lounge on the beach with our
complimentary beach service. The complimentary beach service
includes lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas. *(Number of chairs and
umbrellas is designated by the number of registered guests)
Cabanas are available for daily or weekly rental.
Beach boxes are available for daily, weekly, or seasonal rental.
Beach service is offered in-season only. It’s the only way to stay in
Cape May!
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT TIMES
Check-in time starts at 4 p.m. Check out time is 11 a.m. Late checkouts
are not provided from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Halfday
rates extend the check-out time to 6 p.m. and can be purchased
based on availability.
CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT AND LAWS
Please do not place towels or clothing on the balcony railing. Instead,
place them on the balcony chairs. New Jersey is a mandatory recycling
state. Please use the recycling receptacles provided located
underneath the sink.
TRANSPORTATION
Getting around town is easy and worry-free. Contact Cape May Mac
for information on trolleys, shuttles, and more! 609-884-5404.

FIRE EQUIPMENT – SPRINKLER HEAD
Please do not hang anything off of the sprinkler head or obstruct the
sprinkler head in anyway. The sprinkler heads are located in
Hotel
or
Services
near
the ceiling. Any impediment with the sprinkler head may cause
inefficiency in the fire suppression system.
FITNESS CENTER
We know staying healthy and fit is important to our guests. The
Fitness Center at La Mer offers a variety of state-of-the-art-equipment,
including cardio-vascular machines. There are also, flat screen TVs to
entertain you while you work up a sweat. The fitness center is located
on the 2nd floor and is open 24 hours for your convenience. Your
guest key is required for entrance.
1. Consult and follow the advice of your physician prior to use.
2. Improper use of this equipment can result in injury.
3. Review any instructions prior to use.
4. The Fitness Center is not supervised. Use it at your own risk.
5. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to use the fitness center.
Guest Laundry
Our laundry facility is located on the first floor and is available 24
hours a day. La Mer is not responsible for clothing left unattended.
Single size boxes of detergent can be purchased at the front desk.
ICE MACHINES
The ice machines for the main building are located by the middle
elevator on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. The ice machine for the
Wing Building is located by the elevator on the 3rd floor.

THE POOL
The Pool at La Mer is open to our guests from mid-May through
September, weather permitting, and is located in front of
Hotel
the
Services
building.
The pool hours are 10 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting. There is no
lifeguard on duty. Towels are available at the pool while the pool is open.
Please use the shower before entering, especially after visiting the
beach
Swim at your own risk.
The pool is for registered guests only.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
No diving, running or horseplay is allowed.
No glass is permitted in the pool or pool area.
Children in diapers must wear swim diapers covered by bathing suits.
Handicap chair lift is available at the pool. Please ask the Front Desk
or Pool Attendant for assistance.
TRAVELERS WITH DISABILITIES
We are committed to providing accessible facilities for guests with
disabilities. If you encounter barriers during your stay, please contact
the Front Desk. There is a handicap chair lift available at the pool.
VENDING MACHINES
Soda and snack machines are located in the parking garage, as well as
in the main building near the middle elevator on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
floors. A soda machine is also available in the Wing Building near the
elevator on the 3rd floor.

GENERAL INFORMATION

access, kitchenettes, coffee makers and microwaves, and a host of other
creature comforts. Various sundries are available at the Front Desk,
including sewing kits, razors, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
ALARM CLOCK RADIO/WAKE UP CALL
Alarm Clock Radio – All rooms are equipped with alarm clock radios.
Please contact the Front Desk if you need any assistance setting the
alarm.
Wake Up Call – To set or cancel a wake-up call, dial 75 from your guest
room phone. Listen to the prompts. Wake-up call is option 9.
COFFEE POT
To use the coffee pot, remove the carafe from the hot plate and fill with
cold water. Pour water into chamber and insert coffee packet into
brewing basket. Replace the carafe and push the ON/OFF switch to begin
the brewing process/ The coffee maker shuts off automatically after 30
minutes. Never fill the coffee maker while the machine is hot.
To use the single serve coffee machine. Pour cold water into the chamber
to the max fill line. Place desired pod into brewing basket. Make sure the
machine is powered on and press brew.
INTERNET
La Mer has wireless hi-speed internet:
1. Choose LaMer Beachfront Inn as the available network from your wifi
settings.
2. Enter the required password when prompted. The password is
provided to you in the the key packet provided at check-in.
3. You can access the internet in your room, poolside, and on the beach.

IRON AND IRONING

IN ROOM SAFE
You can operate the safe with a personal code or any card having a
magnetic strip. A user guide can be found on the front of each safe. Please

La Mer has flat screen television(s) with complimentary cable in all our
rooms. See next page for a list of TV stations common to all our guest
units. Please note: A charge will be applied should your remote control go
missing after check-out.
NO SMOKING
This is a non-smoking property, which includes rooms, balconies, and
pool areas. You will be charged a minimum $300 cleaning fee if you
smoke in the rooms. Additional charges may be assessed for loss of room
revenue.

FIRE EGRESS
The Beach House is equipped with hard-wired smoke
detectors. Please make a note of the exit
closest to your room. For your added protection,
please follow these procedures in case of fire:
1. Immediately call 911.
2. If possible, close the doors around the fire area to
keep the fire from spreading.
3. Before leaving your room, test the door for heat. If
it is cool, open carefully, looking for smoke. If the
hall is smoke-free, exit through the stairwell to the
ground floor.
4. If there is thick smoke in the hallways, close the
door quickly and remain in your room. Stuff door
cracks and vents with wet cloths, sheets, blankets,
or towels. Fill your bathtub with water and have
wastebaskets nearby for carrying water.
5. Phone your location to the Local Fire Department.
