Dear Friends, Alumni, Colleagues, and Guests:
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the
annual University of Maryland School of Medicine Gala.
On behalf of the entire School of Medicine, I thank you
for taking time to be with us virtually this evening. We
deeply value your partnership, support, and friendship.
The theme for this evening is Strength. Resilience.
Partnership. The School of Medicine continues to aid
in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, while
not wavering from our core mission areas. We remain
steadfast in our commitment to provide quality and innovative patient care,
groundbreaking research, and educating students to become world-renowned
clinicians, scientists, and academicians. We are excited to share these inspiring
stories with you this evening.
Now in our third century, the University of Maryland School of Medicine is
poised to build upon our extraordinary successes. Your support and

the incredible School of Medicine community and our ability to forge ahead,
unwavering, as we work to fight this pandemic.
