Hailing from the Freightliner factory in<br />
Cleveland, North Carolina, this cleanlooking<br />
Argosy is the <strong>on</strong>e to have if you<br />
are looking for a well-appointed cab-over<br />
with good poke and decent kilometres <strong>on</strong><br />
the clock.<br />
Powered by the Detroit DD-15, this Argosy<br />
isn’t short <strong>on</strong> punch with 560hp (418kW) <strong>on</strong><br />
tap and around 2,300Nm according to the<br />
seller, giving this Argosy the ability to pull<br />
its rated gross combined mass of 106 t<strong>on</strong>nes<br />
with ease.<br />
Being a 2015 model means that, since<br />
the incepti<strong>on</strong> of the Argosy line in 1998,<br />
Freightliner has had ample time to perfect<br />
its cab-over recipe, and this is the result.<br />
With a higher floor than other brands and<br />
the gearshift located <strong>on</strong> the dash, this<br />
Freightliner is markedly quieter with less<br />
engine noise intrusi<strong>on</strong> into the cabin.<br />
This particular model is a mid-roof 101-inch<br />
sleeper cab (with <strong>on</strong>ly the 110-inch model<br />
above it) so you can be sure of comfort and,<br />
as with all sleeper cab trucks in the Argosy<br />
range, it comes with the electrically-powered<br />
side steps to aid ingress and egress.<br />
The seller says that this is a particularly<br />
clean and tidy truck and comes with a<br />
Victorian roadworthy certificate.<br />
With the cab-over market white-hot at the<br />
moment you can’t go past this Argosy in<br />
terms of spec and price.<br />
