I
NTRODUCTION
All he knew was what had been passed down from generation to generation through the tradition
of Roman Catholicism and the myths of German paganism: God was angry and Jesus was a hard
and impossible-to-please Judge who delighted in sending men, women, and children to hell. As a
boy, He was always awake trembling many nights, afraid of the hob and demons that religion taught
lived in the woods. These were the Dark Age when the only Bibles available were in Latin. Then it was
illegal for a common man to own a Bible but legal for the priest who never read them. The people
could neither read nor be taught the word of God, so there was no light penetrating the hearts of these people. Therefore, the
entire territories, nations, continents were in serious darkness in every walk of life. And for him, who had been under unending
torment by this wrong teaching, the only answer for pleasing God was to become a monk so he joined the priesthood.
Eureka! He found a chest of treasure as a priest; he came in contact with the Bible. Educated in Latin as a boy, he dug through
it with ease and even learned Greek to further examine the texts. He was a man on a mission. His mission was not to expose
the errors of religion but simply to make peace with God. This is the story of Martin Luther, a man whose name is at the top
of the list of those who spearheaded reform in church history. It shows the power of what can happen to someone who gets
into God's Word and doesn't come out. The light of revelation began to shine in Luther's dark mind, leaving no shadows where
the devil could torment him. When light appears, darkness disappears on its own accord instantly. Your anger and bitterness
because of all the delays in your life is a revelation that you are deficient of certain understanding. When light appears in form
of understanding all that traces of darkness will vanish instantly. Light are in degrees, there is a dimension of revelation light
that you can encounter in God that will turn you into another man, who can maximize challenges to invent a solution pathway
for generation coming ahead.
No one expect delay in life but life was never design to give you what you expect but what you engage it to do in a fight of faith.
I know you have a beautiful plan you have made plain on paper so you can run with in your various aspect of life. But here
you are, the obviously unexpected is happening to you. You are struggling to find a handle on the moment, you felt crushed
by circumstances you never saw coming. You earlier thought it was not going to be long, but now three, five, ten, twenty years
has passed and you are still waiting for the door to be open unto you, so you can flee out of that dreadful room of delay. This

has caused a stinging pain to persist deep in your shattered heart. At first you thought your faith is strong enough to bear it.
but now, you find yourself suddenly submerged in a flood of emotions, thoughts, and questions. In the midst of unexpected
delay in ministry, career, marriage, child bearing, financial breakthrough, the list is endless. These thoughts assail you as you
sink into the emotional quicksand of life’s messy places, the muddy pits where everything you once held dear and true is
questioned, dissected, and shaken to the core.
Delay in itself is a miracle! It is God’s mercy system design to get you qualify for relevance in His agenda on earth. It is God’s
curriculum to rightly position you at the center of His will for your life. Study the trend in your story and learn to Interpret the
data spinning from your life daily through your spiritual senses. The Holy Spirit is the best forecaster, who has gone through
this your journey before. He knows your ultimate landing, so He is working from the inside out and he is willing and ready to
carry you through if only you will allow him. In whatever season or area of delay you may find yourself, I need you to arise and
encourage yourself in the Lord. This book is full of light from God’s word regarding delay. It is to give usable direction to settle
critical life’s issues. Success without process will leave you unqualified to reign over what you have built. Delay in whatever
form are full of processes design to make you and not to mar you. You must walk circumspectly, redeeming the time. As you
read this book with a hunger in your heart, may the Holy Spirit flood your eyes of understanding with light. May he teach you
all that you need to do as he reveals Christ to you in every pages of this book.

DELAYED ON PURPOSE

your heavenly father which

THE RIGHTEOUS ZACHARIAH
Crushing poverty, global pandemic, massive
political chaos, kidnapping, how to cope in a fastchanging
globalized world and many others are
series of issues confronting our world. The truth
is God has solution to all challenges ranging from
the spiritual to the mundane but we need to
search it out. While growing up, there is a usual
saying among the brethren of my days that, there
are three kind of answers to your request when
you pray. One is ‘yes’, another is ‘no’ and the
third is ‘not yet or wait’. Although there is no
specific biblical reference for this but I think it
was coined from different study of the stories in
the scripture. How God answer some prayer
request instantly as we could see in the case of
the blind Bartholomew. Jesus ask what do you
want me to do for you, he said that I may see and
instantly he was healed and many others.
And this is the confidence that we have in him,
that if we ask any thing according to His will, he
hears us. 1 John 5:14
Also, we could see in the Bible that John the
Baptist sent a request through his disciple to
Jesus, he was actually expecting Jesus to deliver
him from the prison if he was truly the Lord, so
he was confused and began to doubt. The answer
of Jesus to his request was ‘no’, for John had
finish his assignment at this time and being in the
prison is part of the will of God for him. It is only
when we ask according to His will that he hears
us.

So many accounts of instances when the answer
was wait as we could see in these three stories of
Hannah, Abraham and Zachariah we are about to
study. The principle applies to them all. They
were all preoccupied with their need; they
couldn’t see any other thing God was trying to
show them and much more make out of their
lives. Why were they delay? How do they handle
it? Is there a way out of delay? And many more
questions will be answered as we study these
three stories one after the other through the help
of the Holy Spirit.
EXPANSIVE STUDY
Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set
forth in order a declaration of those things
which are most surely believed among us. Luke
1:1
This was Luke, who was a physician (Col. 4:11-14)
writing to Theophilus the thorough narrative of
those things that have been fulfilled among
them, having carefully investigated everything
from the highest to the minutest details from
beginning, so that Theophilus may understand
the certainty of the things he has been orally
instructed. This same thorough narrative has
been handed over to us too so that our faith may
stand in the certainty of the Word of God.
Here was the account of the life of Zacharias, his
successes and his failures. History is the blueprint
of our past and a pointer to our future. This same
story is still being repeated in our days probably
in different dimension. Expansive study will save
you a whole lot in life. Whatever it is you are
about to birth on earth or you are going through,
there are people that have done something
related to that, it might not be the same thing
exactly because there are new things yet to be
discover in God per time. You must seek to know
how those that have treaded that similar path
went through. You must allow the Holy Spirit
guide you into all truth not just by reading the
Bible but also in reading other books too as he
leads you. He will teach you all things needed.
Paul read a whole lot, he told timothy to bring to
him the books and the parchment he left in
Troas. We can never over emphasize the value of
getting the right information, taking your time to
understand it so you can rightly apply it. it is a key
factor in living a fulfilled life on earth.
ZACHARIAH THE PRIEST
There was in the days of Herod, the king of
Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias…and his
wife was of the daughters of Aaron -Elisabeth;
Luke 1:5
Everything was created by God and for God.
Therefore, everything is related, one thing leads
to the other, one event is connected to the other.
Everything is working for one purpose, to birth
God’s agenda on earth. Why was Zacharias story
in the days of Herod the great, king of Judea? It
could have been in the days of another king,
telling us that each event has definite timing
attached. Herod is actually a title granted king of
Judea by the roman senate. He was not a
descendant of Israel but of Jacob’s brother Esau.
He was vassal of the Roman Empire, expected to
support the interests of his Patron Romans.

Herod the great was known for his spectacular
building programs and his paranoid cruelty. This
drove him to execute many.
Recently after studying couples of stories in the
Bible, having seen how God not only releases
new resources in form of raw material to people
when it is time to birth next level event on earth
but also stirs up people or things or element of
the earth to play their individual or collective role
in achieving is ‘new’ on earth, I started to pray for
a stirring up in the heart of people near and far,
so that they could play their respectively role
correctly be it positive role or seeming negative
role per time in birthing God’s agenda for me and
through me on earth per time. And honestly,
different event usually kills off, some prepared
people begin to show up to help in my life and
some other persons start to misbehave, standing
as a barrier as it may seems at that particular
point in time and am not confuse or disturb, I just
remain strong in faith, giving story to God. We
could also see this in the global pandemic which
has literally shift the world into another humbly
level, everything has to adjust and change to fit
into the current world.
Jesus had to be born in a manger in Bethlehem of
Judah according to prophesy, therefore there has
to be a world event that will shift crowd,
including Joseph and his family back to his home
town Bethlehem of Judah and it has to happen at
the particular time when Mary is due to birth her
baby, Jesus. And also, all the rooms must have
been occupied so that the wealthy Joseph, who
was into a construction business, who could
afford to pay for the hotel could not find one to
pay for. Do not think the global pandemic caused
by covid-19 is a co-incidence or design to ruin
you. No, God will not sit in heaven to organize
your ruin on earth. It is God’s design to birth your
next level assignment. You only need to pray for
God to open your eyes to the opportunity
embedded in it for you. It is actually design for
you and not against you. Similarly, whatever look
like contrary situation in your family, work place,
spheres of influence, community, nation or
globally, must be put in alignment to God’s
purpose just like Jesus shows us how to handle it
in this story.
But as they sailed, he fell asleep and there came
down a storm of wind on the lake and they were
filled with water, and were in jeopardy. ….and
he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging
of the water and they ceased and there was a
calm. And he said unto them, where is your
faith. Luke 8:23-25
Jesus practically opens our eyes to how to handle
a storm of wind because it will always come on
our journey on earth although your own time of
storm of wind encounter might be different from
that of friend. Let’s briefly examine how Jesus
handles the situation:
STAY CALM
The first thing we could see in Jesus was his
calmness, he who knows all things, he must have
foreseen the storm yet he fell asleep telling us
that we must always be calm, take a peaceful
posture at all times in all situation. When you

discern or perceive by the Holy Spirit that
something unpalatable is about to happen
around you or to people you know, please do not
be agitated, stay calm still. Often times God
shows us before time so that we can bring it in
obedience to Christ.
ALIGN THE SITUATION TO LIGHT BY FAITH
He said he has given us the keys of the kingdom;
we must learn to use it to open great doors and
lock any door of stormy wind when we need to.
The Bible is a book full of keys; these keys are
what unlock our inheritance. Quickly locate the

word of God stored on the inside of you which is
the correct report concerning you and navigate
the situation to align to God’s word. Open your
mouth and speak like Jesus did he rebuke the
wind and it cease. Align the situation to the Light
of God’s word that has been revealed to you by
faith.
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem so
the Lord is round about His people from hence
forth even forever. For the rod of the wicked
shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest
the righteous put forth their hands unto
iniquity. Plasm 125:2-4
Also, there are times we may have to walk
through it. Jesus said when you walk through the
water, I will be with you and that is where
discernment comes in.
PERFECT, BUT NO FRUIT
And they were both righteous before God,
walking in all the commandments and
ordinances of the Lord blameless. And they had
no child, because Elisabeth was barren, and they
both were now well stricken in years. Luke 1:6-
7
Who wouldn’t have thought that the home of
Zachariah is a perfect home to raise children? A
home where both spouses are righteous and are
walking in all the commandments and ordinances
of the Lord blamelessly. A home where both the
husband and the wife are from priestly
descendant, where they are totally sold out to
the Lord. The husband performs his duty
regularly without fail and the wife too stayed
connected to God in her home and all she does
serving as a good example to all.
As the heaven are higher than the earth so is
God’s way higher than our way. God’s technique
differs from human technique. His ways are most
beautiful. Serving God diligently in delightsome
obedience doesn’t in any way guarantee you
would have all your so-called needs met at your
own time. Because what you call need most
times are not need. God has designed Elisabeth
womb to birth John at a time six month before
the birth of Jesus. So, she had been delayed on

purpose. Her barrenness was a miracle in
disguise, she is actually favored. God could have
chosen another woman to birth john but God’s
mercy got hold of her and her husband
Zachariah. So true, her barrenness was a miracle.
She will be given birth to the greatest prophet
who ever lived before the arrival of Christ. He is
the greatest because all other prophets before
him only prophecy the birth of the Savior but
John prepares the way of the Lord and also
announces His arrival. He said behold the lamb
who takes away the sins of the world.
They had no child, so what is it that you don’t
have too – a business, investment, husband,
finance, home, job, help…and you have done all
you have been instructed to do by God yet it has
not been release to you by God. they are all
delayed on purpose. Rejoice, you have been
chosen by God to birth the unusual in that area
of delay in your life. This is your rest. The earlier
you understand this principle of being delayed on
purpose being a miracle the better for you.
Pruning is God’s mercy system designed to
prepare and preserved His children for the
ultimate fulfillment of His designed purpose for
them here on earth and for eternity. And we
know that all things work together for good to
them that love God, to them who are the called
according to His purpose. Romans 8:28. This
revelation will flood your mind with peace and
make you prepare yourself for the greater things
to be birth by you on the other side. The vision is
for an appointed time, though it may tarry wait
for it, at the end it will speak.
You see the reason why you must stop judging
people and issue by your mere sight. As many
that are being led by the Spirit of God are the
sons of God. Enough of limiting the Holy Spirit to
specific issues in your life, and you taking His
place in all other affairs of your life. You must
learn to judge or evaluate situations or issues in
and around you by the spirit, He searches all
things and will teach you all things, only then
would you be able to represent God well and step
in where ever you need to. Have you taken your
time to seek God’s counsel as regards how to
maximize this global pandemic? May you see
opportunities packaged in it for you.
We live in a world where we attribute every
seeming negative or contrary situation to the
devil because we fail to see those situations
through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. Many have
rejected the answers to their prayers because
they couldn’t discern it because it didn’t come
their own ways, it was package in an uninteresting
people and un-attractive situation
most times so they didn’t give it attention, they
discard it.
Imagine if Moses didn’t step aside to study the
burning bush that day, not knowing that there
lies all the answer to his prayer for the
deliverance of His people. imagine if Abraham
had ignored those three strangers passing by that
day, not knowing that they are the ones carrying
the answer to his prayer.

I read about Wycliffe [in the Roaring Reformer,
God’s general by Robert Liardon] a forerunner of
the great revolution that hit the known religious
world in the fourteenth century. During this time
the catholic church make sure that Bible was only
translated into Latin so as to keep the people
under their dictatorship. The common people
couldn’t own or read it so they are victims of
whatever the church taught them. In 1379,
Wycliffe who was also a priest, took a position
against the Church, could not betray what he felt
from the Scriptures to be true, even if it meant
the loss of support. he separated the man-made
ideas of the Church from the God-inspired
principles of the Word. As a result, in 1380, the
English government held Wycliffe loosely, the
chancellor of his beloved Oxford opposes his
doctrines in the school and finally his influence
was cut off. Does it seem like people are
opposing you and trying to cut off your influence
too though you are sincerely laboring night and
day to make the world a better place in the area
of your assignment. Though it could be hurting.
But please Never mind. Keep your focus on your
God given vision and keep running with it without
fail. Even the opposition is designed to aid your
fulfillment on earth.
Wycliffe whose life had been wrapped up in the
affairs of the university find it very difficult; felt
cut off from everything he had to move back to
the isolation and obscurity of Lutterworth until
May of 1381. This change was the highest point
of his destiny on earth. During this time, he
turned to the Lord for direction. He discovers his
purpose on the earth through prayers, he came
to understand the reason for his life. there he
began what he is known for till today, the
translation of the Bible from Latin into English.
Suddenly inspired, Wycliffe realized that
Lutterworth would not be an obscure "prison"
for him but instead would be a place of divine
destiny-a place where the timing of the Lord and
the vision in his heart would finally meet.
God organized all that happened to him in order
to push him to destiny. God has also organized all
that is happening to you right now to give you a
push to the top. Fear not, interpret the
happening in your life through the eyes of faith.
This also played out in the movie titled ABEJOYE
by mount Zion. Here was a woman who must
have actually been interceding secretly for the
salvation of his unbelieving husband’s family.
Few years later, the father-in-law came to visit,
after discovering he was fetish, only for her to tell
her husband that the father have to return home.
Thank God for the pastor, who was sensitive to
the leadership of the Holy Spirit, who stood to
bridge that gap. He took the father into his home
and the father got saved. Imagine how many
souls we have lost to the kingdom of darkness
because of our insensitivity, selfishness and
judging things by our mere sight. God can decide
to reach us through anything, anyone and any
situation per time. When I was growing up, I
heard that when you are too busy with work, not
giving God any attention, in his love and tender
mercy he may make you weak and sick so you
could stay home concentrate on him and he can
download his heart to you before you totally

stray away from him. I was actually thinking
about that Gadarene man, Jesus healed him and
he got save and became evangelist, the man who
was blind from his mother’s womb too and so
many examples. perhaps If he weren’t sick and
healed, he might not have believed in Jesus. For
some all they are going through is God’s method
of holding them so close to Himself until they are
fully matured to handle greatness without
denying him.
You must not remain at the knee level
of the anointing please keep growing
till it becomes an overflowing river.
NOTHING TO SHOW
Only through experience of trial and
suffering can the soul be strengthened,
ambition inspired, and success achieved

And they had no child, because that Elisabeth
was barren, and they both were well stricken in
years. Luke 1:7
So here was Elisabeth the righteous without a
child. For how long has she been without a child?
If it were to be in our days, I wonder how many
places she would have been to seeking help for
several years. Seeking help is not wrong but we
must seek our help from God like David I will lift
up my eyes to the hill from where comes my help,
it comes from God who made Heaven and earth.
Any God who didn’t make heaven and earth
cannot help you. As you lift your eyes to Him he
will lead you if need be to any of his son and
daughter who carries the level of anointing that
can break the barrenness yoke or whatever that
limitation is in your life when it is time and much
more you should grow to that level of
understanding and anointing that is needed to
solve those issues in your life so you can help
those coming behind you too. Most challenges are
God’s method of growing us to the dimension of
grace and anointing needed for His assignment in
life. Too often your assignment is embedded and
discovered in your pains.
Grace and peace can only be multiplied to us
through the knowledge of God. 2 Peter 1:2.

You can’t give what you don’t have, so God is
always calling us to come up thither.
Peter didn’t just start performing miracles on the
day of Pentecost, even though he did raise
spiritually dead lives for Christ by the Spirit he
just received but he still had to grow from one
level to another. As they gave themselves to the
ministry of the word and prayer, they were been
changed from one level of grace and power to
another.

PERSONAL TESTIMONY
Growing up for me was filled with frequent
sicknesses, so intense that my neighbor
was forced to ask me if I was a sickle cell
patient not believing the fact that I am an
AA patient. The sickness persisted, I was
always been admitted in the hospital until I
was in my second year in university, during
our industrial attachment, I was on training
ground when it began and I was rushed to
the hospital again. I was so tired of
incessant sickness as a child of God. A
friend of mine came around, who was also
aware of this incessant sickness, took all
my drug from me, lift me up, held my hands
and started walking me through the sitting
room praying for me. We both prayed and
prayed that day. After the prayer he handed
me a book on healing by living spring Pastor
Femi Emmanuel. I started devouring the
book which is full of Bible verses on healing
and sound health. I was so hungry for
healing, that I ate, meditate and digest all
that was written in that book opening the
scriptures one after the other, praying
God’s word into my life for days until I was
through with the book. I got healed during
this process, remember he had taken my
medications from me and threw it away.
That was several years ago, till date I had
never fallen sick since then. The incessant
sickness forced me to give myself to the
ministry of the word and prayer over the
issue, grace to heal and peace was
multiplied unto me through the knowledge
of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ (2Peter
1:2).
Until you win Christ in certain areas of your life
you will never be able to activate the victory of
Christ over that particular area of your life. What
do I mean? If You are still struggling with pride it
is because you have not gotten the revealed
Word in that area. And until the Word of God is
revealed to you in that area, you can’t have the
anointing that breaks that yoke of pride in your
life. The day you get understanding from the
Bible about how God detest the proud and
respect the humble, you will rejoice as one that
find a great spoil, you will be broken, at that point
the anointing comes upon you from that word
and as you make declaration that resonate with
that revealed Word, you will have instant result.

Pride will disappear from your life that particular
day, the burden will be lifted and the yoke broken
by the anointing. When the Spirit enter into you
as God speaks to you in His word you will be
quicken and he will set you upon your feet,
restoring you to your real position in Christ (John
6:63; Ezekiel 2:1).
I give you another example, Pastor Paul Enenche
said one day He was feasting on the word when
some person brought an insane person to him
seeking healing. He had just feasted on …where
Jesus said he that hear my voice hear the son.
‘He that hears you hears me: and he that
despise you despise me: and he that despise me
despise Him that sent Me.’ Luke 10:16.
His eyes were red with wine he had drunk in the
Word at that point. The anointing in that word
had entered into him. Immediately, standing on
that revelation he spoke to the insane person
who they had bounded and chain with pad lock.
He told them to unlock the padlocks which they
did. He then spoke to the insane man, to repeat
after him, confessing Jesus as his Lord and savior
and to say that he is not insane and that was it.
The insane man was healed instantly. The people
that brought him were dazed because they had
struggle to bound him as he was stronger than
them all before that time. Glory to God!
The Word of God is quick and powerful, piecing
to the dividing of spirit and soul, joint and
marrow, discern the thought and intent of the
heart. It is all you need. Nothing can escape the
Word. Jeremiah said it is like fire, it can burn off
any unwanted things in your life, it is like hammer
it can break any rock into pieces. Right now, if
there is anything troubling your life by the
instrument of the Word, I declare they are
consumed by the fire of the Word, out of your
body soul and spirit and you are free by this truth
that is being revealed to you right now in Jesus
name. Many are still struggling when it comes to
the management of finance in their family; they
are always running out of cash because they have
not win Christ in that area. I know people who
put their trust in men for supply instead of God.
After paying tithe and give to others from little
funds they have, the left over is meager, it can’t
foot major bills, however with understanding of
what Christ sacrificed for salvation, they counted
all other things loss for the Excellency of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus. RICH GOD POOR GOD
by AVAZINI indicated how God has given men all
things richly to enjoy, He multiplies little
resources as He did with five bread and two
fishes. The rich God is our father, the owner of
heavens and earth who became poor that
through His poverty we might be rich. Shift your
focus from monthly salary and from people to
God. I realize you don’t even need money
sometimes to have your needs met. Relationship
is also another currency that is more valuable. All
you need is to follow the principles of giving in
the Word of God. Giving with the right motive is
the key to receiving which is opposite the world’s
ideology. It is more blessed to give than to
receive. I encourage you to read the book too.

MY SERVANT ZACHARIAH
And it came to pass that while he executed the
priest’s office before God in the order of His
course…And there appeared unto him an
angel…Luke 1:9-11
Over the years the number of priests multiplied,
so they used to determine which priest to serve,
and when, by casting lot. So, it could be once in a
lifetime opportunity. To a Godly man like
Zachariah this might be the biggest event of his
life filled with enormous anticipation. It obvious
that Zachariah has given up on the issue of child
bearing yet he remains faithful in the place of his
assignment serving as a priest in the temple.
Here was a man completely sold out to God and
His work, seeking first God’s kingdom and His
righteous even if every other thing seems not to
be added to him. When I was growing up, we use
to sing this song in the choir, the lyrics goes thus;
“if I suddenly wake up and found that the heaven
is not true I still believe you Lord because you live
inside me, you are my reason for living” the
question you should ask yourself is who or what
is your reason for living? This will change a whole
lot of things in your life. Are you living for God or
for self? Do you know he sent you here on a
mission, an assignment, a purpose, an urgent
task?
Are you that fellow that just spends your time
anyhow every day, suiting yourself and your
desire, forgetting that you don’t own anything,
everything you have has been given to you – a
man can receive nothing, except it be given him
from heaven John 3:27 - and you will give
account? May God flood your eyes of
understanding with light, may you find your true
self in God and be able to maximize every
opportunity he has been given you. Amen
Let’s quickly consider God’s servant, Zachariah.
Many people are acting as God’s master and not
as His servant in the place of their assignment, is
it in ministry or in cooperate world. What if
Zachariah decides not to go perform his priestly
service at the temple that day probably Because
of tiredness and discouragement? You know
what that means, some persons skip going to
work some days for flimsy reasons not knowing
their biggest opportunity or job may show up
that day. What if Elisabeth had hindered him
from going to the temple that day. There are
women who discourage their husbands from
serving God. May you not marry the wrong
person in Jesus name. Amen. Thank God he
wasn’t found missing at the place of his
assignment. The angels met him at the place of
service that particular day. Your own angel may
be people God has position around to give you
ideas, counsel, information that will solve the
challenges in your organization long standing
issues. One information can deliver to you in a
day what you have not been able to achieve in a
decade, May God found you readily available
always at the place of your assignment. Amen.
How many brethren have looked back in our days
because they felt they had nothing to show to
people around that they are following God? Their
temporal lack and affliction had swallowed them
up. They have run to the devil and his servants

for help even though many of them still go to
church but they have looked back like lots wife.
Please let’s not stop interceding for such that
they will return back to God like the prodigal son.
And if you are one of them, God still loves you so
much; he doesn’t want you to die in that
condition, please come back home now because
tomorrow might be too late. There is no where
you have been to that God can’t rescue you from,
run to him, he has been longing to receive you
back with joy. He is your ever-trusted help in
times of need; all other help cannot be trusted;
they are danger in disguise. The devil will give you
a cap and take away your head. Please run from
darkness, run to light. The chastisement of God is
sweet; it is he who the father loves that he
disciplines or delay. But the chastisement of the
world kills so fast. God will make all things
beautiful for you in due season as you return
speedily to Him, He’s your first husband and
maker.
FEAR NOT
But the angel said unto him, fear not, Zacharias:
for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth
shall bear thee a son and thou shall call his name
John. John. Luke 1:13
According to the Law of Moses, incense was
offered to God on the golden altar every morning
and every evening. Exodus 30:7-8. Zachariah was
the incense priest for that day left alone in the
holy place, in front of him was the golden altar, it
was 18inches square and three feet high. On that
small table lay burning coals, with little whips of
smoke rising from it, ready for the incense.
Behind the gold altar was a huge thick curtain
and behind the curtain was the holy of holies, the
most holy place where only the high priest could
enter only on the Day of Atonement once in a
year. As he faced the golden altar of incense, to
his right would be the table of showbread and to
his left would be the golden lamp stand, which
provided the only light for the holy place. The
whole multitude of the people usually prayed
outside at that time. Before the death of Christ,
in the Bible, the burning of incense is a strong
picture of prayer. Psalm 141;2, revelation 5;8. I
can’t just imagine we, going through these
processes today, Jesus had rescue us from all
these, we are so fortunate to be born in this era,
where we neither need an intermediary nor have
to go to the temple before we could access God
right in the holies of holies. Halleluiah! Hope you
are maximizing this privilege, you can commune
with your father all time, anywhere – while
driving, easing yourself, doing your exercise;
Glory to God.
WHAT DID HE PRAY?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of
wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides
alone but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. He
that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates
his life in this world shall keep it unto life
eternal. John 12:24-25.
Zachariah must have prayed for the deliverance
of the nation of Israel from the oppression of the
Romans and their representative king Herod. He
must have asked for the messiah to be sent
speedily with passion. He probably might not

have prayed for his personal need at such a holy
moment when he is to represent the people
before God. And since he and his wife are
strikingly old, they must have given up on that
prayer for a child long ago. They must have
stopped believing God for that need. His hope of
being a father has been crushed over the years of
disappointment but God had not given up on it,
though he had given up on God and himself,
while he just concentrated his attention on his
assignment. The way to really live is to die.
Zachariah had died to self and its desire; he has
chosen to carry his cross daily and follow Jesus.
He is sold out to helping the multitude in the
place of his assignment. He is a definition of a

man who has lost his life for God sake so he can
save it. He is living for others and not for himself.
This interplay between his passion and his pain
was God’s method of refining him, transforming
him from who he used to be to what God has
designed him to be.
You also need to shift your prayer focus from
yourself to others. Until you lose your life for
Christ sake you cannot find it. Have you also given
up after praying about certain issue for years
without result? For example, you have been
praying for salvation of your family member,
expansion in ministry, manifestation,
enlargement in your business, to get marry,
financial break through, we tend to give up as
human, thinking it won’t be done not knowing
that there is God’s timing for everything. We
always want things to happen our own time. God
will always show up at His own time when you
least expect it.
This is God’s voice to you reading this book at this
time; fear not, your prayers are answered. Take
the shield of faith and quench the fiery darts of
lies the devil is always throwing at you too often
in your thought or through people and
happenings around. Be an addicted hearer of the
word, preoccupy yourself with the word, and let
it become your flesh. Fight the good fight of faith
all the times. Choose God’s word over the devil’s
cooked up lies in your mind or dreams.
Too often, when we receive the comforting voice
of the Holy Spirit, telling you your prayers have
being answered we usually think that it will come
through, our own way and our own time. Always
remember that God speak in the now, he is not
limited by time. Everything you would ever need
in life has been provided for in Christ. The truth is
the provisions of God are behind you. He who
spared not His only son for you will freely give us
all things that are there with him (Romans 8:32).
When His words come to us, the raw material we
need to work with is delivered into our hands; it
is now our responsibility to run with it. God most
times doesn’t deliver the end product to us, he
only gives us the spiritual capital we need to work
with so as to produce the end product.

Zachariah would just be like; I didn’t pray for a
son I only prayed for a deliverer for the salvation
of Israel. What are you talking about angel? Not
knowing that God has answered both prayers
and would use his miracle baby to be a part of
sending the messiah. Glory to God. Too often the
answers to our various personal need are
wounded in the fulfilling of our purpose on earth.
I had this experience, after my secondary school.
I had a four-year delay before getting admission.
At a time, I went to do Interim Joint Matriculation
Board at Owo poly so I could gain admission to
200 levels at the university at least to speed up a
bit my journey my own way. After this entire
struggle, to secure admission to university of
Ilorin, nothing to show for it so I got tired. I faced
my God given assignment then which was music.
I got committed to my personal relationship with
God, and service to him as a steward. While
serving God, God raised up people to run around
as regard my admission and he gave me
admission to OAU without me stressing myself.
These people actually noticed me in the place of
service.
Your needs have been programmed to be
supplied to you at your place of assignment.
Please locate it and get committed to God there
and you will soon laugh.
Zachariah has to be dumb so that he can run
better with the word. He almost limits the holy
God by his unbelief and the words of his mouth.
He feels it’s a big one and he needs a sign to
prove it because it is not logical actually
considering his and wife’s condition. How many
times has God given you His word as regards that
your need? You need accommodation, job, place
to establish your company, school, he said in 2
Samuel 7:10:
Moreover, I will appoint a place for my people
Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell
in a place of their own and move no more,
neither shall the children of wickedness afflict
them any more as beforetime. So, have you
taken your time to ask him to show you that
place he has appointed for you and how to get
there or what to do to dwell there.
And there after run with the word. Not
everything is money, God’s favor can give you
accommodation with little or no money, I have
experience it.
So, let your heart be open to His instruction don’t
follow the way the people of the world acquire
properties. Except a grain of wheat falls to the
ground and dies it abides alone. If that time,
effort, service, help, materials, money…anything
in your hand is a seed, please do sow it, don’t eat
it because it won’t satisfy you, it will only fuel
your hunger for your need. Bury it in the ground,
allow it to grow and it will yield the fruit you
need. The world’s principle of getting things is by
receiving, but in the kingdom, we give to receive.
It contradicts each other. It is more blessed to
give than to receive. You must always learn to
sow upward in order to go higher and downward
so you won’t be stranded in life. When you give
to someone who is already living in his own

apartment, your lesser is blessed by the greater
of that person. Abraham paid tithe to
Melchizedek. Work and war with whatever word
He reveals to you, work with the principles in the
word and you will be settled in due time.
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord and
shall drink neither wine nor strong drink and he
shall be filled with the holy ghost even from his
mother’s womb. Luke 1:15
Not drinking which was a vow of Nazarite as seen
in Samson life too signify, he will be a Nazarite.
John was to call Israel to radical repentance just
like Elijah. There is certain level of consecration
require from us by God. it usually differs from
person to person based on your kind of
assignment as God the caller dims it fit. You need
to discover yours from God and stick to it strictly
for your assignment to be fulfilled on earth. Also,
we are so privilege to partake of the kingdom of
heaven. Though john was great in the sight of the
Lord yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven
is greater than he because we are not just born
of the water we are also born of the spirit. Please
maximize the gift of the Holy Spirit in your life.
DISBELIEF
And Zacharias said unto the angel, whereby
shall I know this? For I am an old man and my
wife well stricken in years. Luke 1:18
I am an old man…. I am Gabriel, that stands in
the presence of God…and to shew thee these
glad tidings. Luke 1:18-19
Which one carries more weight ‘I am old’ or ‘I am
Gabriel that stand in the presence of God…and to
shew thee these glad tidings’. you see what we
do when we placed medical report side by side
God’s word, and we allow ordinary medical
report of a mere man who has His breath in His
nostrils to terrify us and make us disbelief God’s
report, the one who created everything on earth.
I was baffled at this verse having read it several
times. I said to myself haven’t he read about
Abraham’s story. How God brought His Word to
him on several occasion and it looks unreal
because there was no example to look upon in
His own days. Until then no man of one hundred
years and a woman of ninety years have ever
conceived. But according to the time of life God
returned to our father Abraham and Sarah
conceived and gave birth to Isaac. But then I
looked at us in this present generation, having
read and seen so many examples of those whom
God delayed on purpose and how the Word of
God never fail over them, many still question
God’s promises over their lives. Many still
stumbles through doubt and unbelief. Although,
we are currently wearing a weak and frail body,
we must always remember that we do not have
a high priest who is not touched by the feelings
of our infirmities but he has gone through all you
are currently going through even worse than it
yet without sin.
He is able to give you succor and grace to help in
your time of need. Hebrew 4;15-16.

I encourage you to live the word by being
followers of them who through faith and
patience obtain the promise. God is too faithful
not to bring His word to pass. Let us hold fast our
profession without wavering. Do not play down
on God’s instruction to you. As simple as God’s
Word is, it is operational and dependable.
Apostle Paul told the Corinthians not to allow
their mind to be corrupted by the simplicity that
is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3.
Just as simple as the instruction given to Adam
and Eve at the beginning was, so also God is still
given us simple instruction today. You must not
allow the serpent to deceive your heart into
unbelief, doubt and then disobedience. Take
heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil
heart of unbelief, in departing from the living
God. To ignore the Word or instruction of God to
you consistently, is to depart from the living God.
So many of our fathers, who came out of the land
of Egypt could not enter into their inheritance
which is God’s rest for them because of unbelief
(Hebrew 3:12-19).
And when he came out, he could not speak unto
them, Luke 1:22
He was supposed to stand on the temple steps,
overlooking the crowd and pronouncing the
priestly blessing on the people but he couldn’t
speak. He could only gesticulate. He had to pay a
price for his unbelief but more so that he might
not abort what God is doing in his life through his
mouth. We must learn to always put our mouth
where our faith is in life.
PARTNER WITH GOD
…he departed to his own house. And after those
days his wife Elisabeth conceived. Luke1:23-24
Zachariah had to partner with God by uncovering
Elisabeth again. He was not waiting for a
miraculous conception because the angel didn’t
say so. There is a role we also must play in
birthing God’s word over us. Like I told the story
of my admission then, I had to read well and
write JAMB exam again. Probably you are the one
God is waiting on to perform your role so that
what he has told you will materialize on earth.
Are you supposed to go to learn certain skill, go
do certain courses, get online certification, get
into certain study group or service group, send
out your application again, please ask God, what
is my role in meeting this need? What do I need
to do? Who do I need to meet? Where do I need
to go to?

What a wise woman? She didn’t hide herself
because she didn’t want people to know she was
pregnant so they won’t abort it, because the
pregnancy wasn’t even showing then. She didn’t

hide herself for fear for she had never in the first
place attributed her barrenness to any enemy.
She must have separated herself unto the Lord,
spending time with God to know what God have
in store for the child.
Many just take unnecessary religious action
because of fear without clear instruction from
God. Please do not follow the way of the crowd,
let God lead you. There is a time to hide your
vision till it is well solidified; there is also a time
to make it plain so he that read can run with it. in
all these, God’s leadership is the most
paramount.
Also never give any human being power over
your life. No one can do anything to you if you or
God doesn’t permit it, and remember he is
working all things for your good. All things were
created by him and for him. Whatever delay you
are presently going through, never say so and so
is the cause, that is a lie of the devil. It is not forth
coming because it is not yet God’s time, when he
is ready to release it, he will not only tell you
what steps to take to get it but also give you the
power that will enable you take the necessary
step in seeing His kingdom come and His will
done on earth in and through you.
THE AFRICA’S BIG DEAL: AGE
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed
and said in his heart shall a child be born unto
him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah
that is ninety years old, bear? Genesis 17:17
Growing up in a Yoruba setting, age was a big
deal in my life until God dealt consistently with
me and delivers me from that mindset. I was
delayed so much that all my younger ones in the
family and beyond got things sorted out in their
life earlier than I as it seems to us all. They went
to higher institution, job, married, gave birth,
name it. Here I was ashamed of my age, thank
God I had small stature, I was ten years younger
in look than my real age so that saves me a lot.
As far as God is concern age is nothing. Do not be
one of those who always say can God furnish a
table in the wilderness. They always box God to a
corner, limiting him by their wrong perception of
Him.
God lives outside time. He only created time to
help us. He lives in eternity; he speaks in the now
because before him all things are already done.
He declares the end from the beginning. He is
God and no man or thing can stop or limit him
when he is ready to birth what he had already
done in the spiritual realm in your life or on earth.
Medical verdict or the world’s philosophy, wrong
perception of Him can’t stop Him. Age is not a
barrier to God. Your perception of God must
change.
Medically, Abraham is right, no man of 100 years
can father a child neither a woman of 90 years
who is above menopause can get pregnant. But
this is wrong when it comes to God the creator of

you. Are you ready to pay the price?

all things. So, what is your story, what is that
impossible case in your family? Please relax and
rejoice. This is the real miracle; you have been
delayed on purpose to manifest the glory of God.
You must exercise unflinching faith in God that he
is God all by Himself; he can do all things except
whatever he chooses not to do even that too is a
miracle in disguise. We could see that the three
Hebrew have the understanding when they said
if God deliver us or not, He will still be our God.
They have choosing and determine to die
believing him even if they have no result to show
for it. Just like all the heroes of faith in the book
of Hebrew died, having obtained a good report
through faith, without receiving the
promise…that they without us might not be
made perfect (Hebrew 11:39-40).
God choose to turn His back on Jesus when he
was on the cross, he chooses to allow men to
disgrace him and put him to shame. He could
have saved him from carrying the cross, being
whip, being nailed to the cross and to the point
of dying on the cross. These entire event as worst
as it seems at that point were true definition of
miracle. Eternal glorious things were birth
through shameful series of event. Glory! These
brought many sons to glory. Had they known
they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory? I
can’t just imagine life if Jesus has not died for us.
This is a pattern found in Jesus Christ our master
which we all must also experience on earth in
varying degree, dimension and timing. So, get to
understand all you are going through in the light
of the word of God and align to what God is doing
in and through you. There is a miracle God is
about to birth through you. Are you ready to pay
the price?
This is my confession time, have been through
several delays in my life. I didn’t learn all these
lessons earlier in life; I learnt it through several
years of being delayed while walking with the
Lord. The journey is highly demanding. It will
separate you out of big circles of friends, family
and friends. Because you won’t just fit in into the
norms in your family, community and country.
There are so many sacrifices you will have to
make. It’s a decision you have to make to singly
follow God as he leads you through the moments
of your delays. He gives you series of instructions,
you can’t just do things the way other people do
it. others may but you cannot do certain things,
it is your consecration. I counsel you to get
rooted in the word, as your root go more
downward in God you will bear fruit upward even
in these seasons of your life. His grace is more
than sufficient, he will be at work in you both to
will and to obey His instruction as you permit
him. It is true that you are weak in yourself, just
subscribe always to His strength. His strength will
carry you through gloriously (Amen).

WHAT SHALL BE HIS NAME
...and thou shall call his name john. Luke 1:13
It amazes me each time I walked through the city
of Lagos; I have seen several names of churches
in my life. This is no joke honestly. Sometimes I
ask myself did the founder coined it out which is
not actually wrong since we have the mind of
Christ or did God actually gave those names to
them specifically. I remembered how my first
book was named. I have been praying over
birthing God’s will for my life and several
instructions and revelation was given to me by
God. On a particular occasion I saw some of the
books I was supposed to birth on earth. On
another occasion I saw the name of one of the
books and as I woke up, I wrote it down spiritual
punctuation. I told no one.
Few months later, I did a compilation of some of
my write-up on face book which has actually
blessed many into a book. I compiled the notes
and send it for editing. Lo and behold after the
design and editing, he named it Spiritual
Punctuation. I was shocked because at this time I
haven’t told him anything as regards what I saw.
He is so accurate because he is so yielded to the
Holy Spirit. We could also see this in this story.
Do not just give that your establishment,
business, enterprise, schools, children, ministry
any name, please search the mind of God
through the help of the Holy Spirit, he has a name
on His mind already, He will let you in to the
secret. Remember the angel deliver the name
Jesus to Mary, let the Holy Spirit deliver the right
name to you.
HUMBLED ELIZABETH
And what is this to me that the mother of my
Lord should come to me. Luke 1:43
Destiny relationship can be between the old and
the young in the kingdom. Amazing! What a
system of advantage we must adequately
maximized in the kingdom. We must not allow
age to blindfold us to our inheritance in Christ.
There are people God has design to speed up our
journey in life. They are to take us through their
decades of experience in few minutes, days,
month perhaps. So many revelations that has
become our belief and that we are lavishly
enjoying in the body of Christ today were
discovered by God’s generals who have worked
and fought so hard to make our world a better
place for us many centuries before we came on
board.
For example, I learnt that John Hus was one of
the reformers many century ago who was first to
acknowledge biblical confession and the
priesthood of all believers. So also, the younger
generation too has so much to offer the older
generation by the spirit. Both sides are bringing
great things to the table by the Spirit.
Elisabeth is a great example for us today, she is
many decades older that Mary her cousin yet she
called her mother of my Lord. She understood
spiritual protocol of humility. Her relationship
with her cousin was by the spirit not by mere

sight or family order. It was a heavenly ordained
covenant relationship. Thank God for her
sensitivity in the spirit, she could have decided to
keep what happen in her womb from her cousin
who she was even old enough to be her mother,
but no, her years of delay has grown her. She has
learnt to put flesh under and yield to the Holy
Spirit. She spoke out loud by the spirit calling her
the mother of my Lord.
One would have thought the elder woman’s
voice should be the one that will make the baby
in the younger woman to leap, that is, the older
woman should always have much more to offer
the younger but God’s techniques differs from
ours, it was the other way around. The voice of
Mary caused the baby in Elisabeth to leap
because she was carrying Jesus the Lord in her
own womb. John in the womb of Elisabeth
leaped for joy at the presence of Jesus in the
womb of Mary. Simply Amazing! God’s gifting is
not according to age but by grace. The
relationship was full of benefits from both ends
because they were both operating by spirit.
Elisabeth confirmed what the angels had told
Mary before she arrived in her house and also
encourages her faith in the Lord that she is
blessed because she believed. There shall be
performers of those things the Lord had told her.
Mary could confide in Elizabeth; she was the only
one who could understand miraculous
conception by the Holy Spirit in her family at the
time. She summoned every fiber in her being to
reveal the fear, turmoil, and excitement coursing
through her young heart. She was free with her,
she expressed herself in the Lord humbly before
Elisabeth, celebrating God’s goodness lavishly.
And she abodes with her for three months. oh!
How nourishing those three months must have
been for her. Elisabeth must have thought her
several things about her first trimester because
she has gone pass that stage and they would
have nourished each other since they were both
pregnant but at different stage in their life and
pregnancy journey. You see why you should flock
with those having visions like you do.
As an older woman, how many young ladies have
you been able to discern, build relationship with,
help out, mentor, accommodate, tutor in your
journey? And to the young women, how many
older women have you being able to discern by
the spirit and have you been able to submit to
their mentorship? It Is high time we woke up
from our sleep and start forming Godly alliances,
helping each other out in destiny.
NOT YET SO
And his mother answered and said, not so; but
he shall be called john. And they said unto her,
there is none of your kindred that is called by His
name. John 1:63
In every spheres of life, there are multitudes that
are so used to the normal way of doing things.
They have embraced and profit from status quo
for a long time so they fight anyone who wants
to cause a change in any form. They are there in
the family, community, government, institution,
organizations. I dare to say that you are that one
that God is raising to cause divine change; you

got to stand against status quo in every territory
God assign you. Like a great reformer John Hus,
who said ‘i desire to be as Balaam's ass. Because
the prelates sit on me, wishing to force me to go
against the command of God to stop preaching, I
will press the feet of their desire and will not
obey them’. I encourage you to stand for the
truth and against the corruption and the evil of
our day in the midst of a world that is dying from
its bondage while thinking it is free. You can read
his story; it will strengthen you.
As we could see in this story, a female reformer,
mother Elisabeth stood her ground against family
traditions. She has been grown into this stature
through the years of her waiting on God for the
fruit of the womb. It took years to learn these
lessons, she won’t allow any wrong believe
system of their kindred to limit her son. She
represented well by the help of the stamina she
had built in God. Imagine the kind of people in
their family; these were supposed to all be priest
since they are from a priestly descendant. So,
they don’t know divine protocol that is designed
by God to swallow up earthly status quo. They
are so used to generational routine.
And wrote, saying his name is John and they are
marveled all. And his mouth was opened
immediately and his tongue loosed, and he
spoke and praise God. Luke 1:63-64
Here we could also see the advantage of
marrying a believer. Beyond the fact that they
were both from priesthood lineage, individually
they had a deep relationship with God. God could
reach them individually and collectively. They are
united in the Holy Ghost and united they could
stand fast against status quo. So much that their
family could not contradict God’s instructions
and plan for their son. How is your own family?
Are you always in argument all the times or in
deep communion with the Holy Spirit, standing
together in faith so that external forces will not
thwart God’s agenda for your family? Your two
can only be better than one when you two
become united in decision making.
So, we all must be ready to say ‘NOT SO’ to
whatever contradicts God’s will wherever God
has position us. Are you currently working in an
organization where you are been press to change
figure, testify to lies, present and represent fake
product, sell your belief and then your body so
you could sell your or their products? Please
receive grace and strength to always say NOT SO.
If it is your place, given to you by God, no one will
be able to displace you. Peradventure you are
displace just know that it is your miracle time.
also, it is very key that we must always bring
everything to the obedience of Christ through
the instrumentality of the word and the force of
prayer in our secret place as we know that the
weapon of our warfare is not canal but mighty
through God to pull it all down.
Also, even though Zachariah had failed earlier in
not believing God’s word but at faith God gave
him a second chance. He is still doing the same
today. He is a God of many chances only if you
would believe again. Zachariah’s first word as he
opens his mouth was ‘praise God’, his

chastisement has not made him bitter but rather
it has made him better in trusting God more at
every opportunity. When we are being chastise
too, we should not rebel like Saul did rather we
should learn and become better in our
relationship with God.
ZACHARIAH’S SONG
And thou child shall be called the prophet of the
highest: for thou shall go before the face of the
Lord to prepare His ways. To give knowledge of
salvation unto his people by the remission of
their sins. Luke 1:76-77
Hallelujah! songs in the Bible are birth by the holy
ghost, we could see this repeatedly in the life of
king David, Mariam and several others. I counsel
my fellow gospel artiste, lets maintain intimate
communion with the Holy Spirit and the word,
what an endless streams of songs flow from him
per time. Zachariah was filled with the holy ghost
and he began to prophesy.
Song ministration most times birth prophesy
right from Old Testament, they don’t joke with
minstrel and their ministration. How many times
has your song ministration give solution to
national problem, direction to individual, and
cooperate bodies as a gospel minister? Let’s arise
and build again through Holy Spirit inspired song.
Wow! Zachariah prophesy the assignment of our
Lord Jesus and that of his own son, John. How
John is the prophet of the highest and he shall go
before the face of our Lord Jesus to prepare His
ways. How many Godly fathers are able to
receive from the Lord the name of their son and
their assignment on earth? Many children have
followed the wrong cause in life, study the wrong
course at the higher institution only for them to
later discover that was not their life assignment.
So many have failed in life because their father
failed in leading them correctly.
I had earlier tried to picture how Zachariah and
Elizabeth would have felt when john left their
home to live in the wilderness because of his
assignment but when I realized how Zachariah
himself had prophesy his assignment when he
was only eight days old. He and Elisabeth must
have trained and release him in the ways of the
Lord so he would be able to fulfill his assignment.
As parent also we must be able to discern early,
the assignment of each of the children God has
given us to train and release them to do God’s
will. We must not try to make them do what we
want or think is best for them.

BEACONS OF HOPE
...waiting until you get it!
According to the Law of Moses, the Israelites are not to worship God through sacrifices
at any time in any way they are pleased. They were to bring sacrifice to the tabernacle
and the priest who was at this time was at Shiloh. Godly Elkanah came to offer sacrifice
to God at Shiloh not minding the wicked attitude of the priests. He knows their
wickedness will not hinder God from accepting his sacrifice. We also must not allow
the humanity of certain men of God hinder us from serving God acceptably.
THE WAITING HANNAH
And he had two wives; the name of the one was
Hannah and the name of the other Peninnah and
Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no
children. 1 Samuel 1:2
Here is a story of another family where the man of
the house, Elkanah married two wives, Hannah
being the first wife and Peninnah the second wife.
The second wife had many children but Hannah
whom he loved had no child. It just reminded me
of the story of Jacob who had two wives too,
Rachael the one he loves had no child while Leah
had many children for several years.
Here, Hannah’s safety zone and all presumed
constants are revealed to be far more fragile than
she had ever realized. Her patience is being tried
time after time by Peninnah and those who also
mock her. She wonders if she would ever be a
mother in her lifetime, and if so, then when will it
happen. she couldn’t summon the strength to
move on that particular year. Her emotions were
grossly uncharted. This is where her faith is tested,
where it’s refined and purified. Right in the midst
of all the unappealing circumstances she found
herself being planted in God’s purpose for her. But
such knowledge is little comfort in the midst of the
blazing wildfires of life engulfing all she thought

she knew and reducing expectations to ashes.
Laced all through these stories are the unique
ways of God.
God loves everyone but God doesn’t trust
everyone. He only births His special assignment on
earth through those who he has tested and
trusted. There are processes God takes us through
to prove our genuine love and trust in Him then he
can trust us. Actually, the processes are design to
bake us. Growing up for me was about acquiring
culinary skills. Being the first female child, I
became the chef of the family right from tender
age. I could remember those times I ended up
presenting burnt offering to the family instead of
nicely cooked delicacies. I learnt so many lessons
right in the kitchen. Learning how to bake was full
of lessons. There are many cake bakers but only
those that are truly professional are relevant.
Those who have taken their time to creatively
master the art and the science of it. These people
have their own unique recipe, distinct processes
of baking, creative way of icing, special branding
system, excellent customer service and many
more. These entire specialties distinguished them
among the multitude that bakes all around the
world. So also, there are special characteristics
that distinguished those who God trust from those
who he only loves.
Although you can always try something new and
also create something new even if it is just for you
in this business, one key lesson in baking is to
follow each customer’s specifications in taste and
design. Also, God tries and test us in our
relationship with him, starting from our personal
lives before He can put us in charge of big estates.
Here was Jesus whom God had already said he is
His beloved son in whom he is well please,
immediately after baptism. Do you still expect the
son whom God already love to go to wilderness to
fast 40days and be tempted of the devil? Someone
would ask, didn’t God already know all things? he
knew that Jesus cannot fail, so why did he still
allow him to be tested? Yes, you are right but God
is only trying to show us a pattern that our lives
will also follow in Christ. Also, Jesus had to go
through all that we are going through as man so
he could feel, understand and bear our infirmities.
Remember he was a man like you when he was on
earth. He is showing us that we will also be tested
when we decide to be His disciples but we can
always go through it without sin (Hebrew 4). So, at
every point in our lives, we would be tested on this
three-platform lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh
and pride of life.
But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for
he loved Hannah; but the Lord had shut up her
womb. 1 Samuel 1:5

Why is it that we are quick in our generation to
associate every delay to the devil? This is the
second story where we could see that it was God
who shut up the womb of these women. Yes, he
did it on purpose. Are you currently experiencing
delay in any area of your life, rejoice you are God’s
special candidate. You are the beloved of the Lord;
he has specially chosen and enlist you in a special
training that will require your utmost attention so
you can be fit to birth the greater dimensions in
God on earth.
Here was Hannah about to be trained and tested
by God to ascertain if he can trust her with the
birth of another God’s general, Samuel the last of
the great judges, who is to be born to take up
special assignment on earth for God. The reason
while we must take God serious in our journey is
this; it is always a privilege when being choosing,
because it could have been another person.
And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to
make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her
womb. 1 Samuel 1:6
I met people who are interested in exposing
specific areas of delay in your life in public; even
with secrets you trusted them with. But, the love
of God has constrained us – don’t react or worried,
rather be determined to shame the devil with your
convictions about God.
Hannah could neither enjoy the display of love
from her husband nor the joy of fellowshipping in
God’s presence at Shiloh. She was extremely
provoked year by year until she was pushed to
destiny. She became tired of yearly sacrifice
without result to show for it. It was this reproach
that gradually pushed Hannah to the point of
weeping and not eating. That was the first step to
her breakthrough. Fasting actually deaden our
fleshy desire and makes our spirit man comes alive
so we can meditate better and communicate with
God well. God intentionally allow people to
reproach you for His own purpose to be fulfilled.
That reproach you are presently going through is
designed to work for your good and not against
you. It is a test of your trust and convictions in
God. Do not allow reproach push you to seek help
outside God. You must be able to stand the test of
time. if you fail in the days of adversity your
strength is small. If you give up under pressure you
are a weak specimen. You see while you need to
intentionally grow your faith. Luke 6:48 made it
plain to us that the storm and the flood will always
come to test everyone, it will come to trim away
from you those things you thought are valuable to
you, which are gradually taken God’s position in
your heart, so you can give God all your attention.
We are instructed to dig deep and lay the
foundation of every area of our lives on the rock
by being the doer of the word as we hear it. I won’t

say you should not cry when being reproached for
Christ sake but let it be cry of joy with singing of
praises to God knowing that you are privileged to
partake of the suffering of Christ. Blessed are you
when men shall hate you…and reproach you and
cast out your name as being evil, for the son of
man’s sake, rejoice, leap for joy for your reward is
great in heaven (Luke 6:22-23). You must weary
the devil with your convictions in and about God.
When you passed this test you will be promoted,
you will be qualifying. Wow! Our God’s techniques
are beyond a natural man’s understanding.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret
not thyself because of him who prospered in his
way, because of the man who bringeth wicked
devices to pass. I have been young, and now am
old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread. Psalms 37
Whatever you’re passing through has expiring
date so rest in the Lord, don’t be tired of waiting,
approach the throne of grace for mercy to carry
you through your waiting time. it will definitely
end in praise.
During this time of separation unto the Lord, while
others were feasting Hannah was in bitterness of
soul and prayed unto the Lord and wept sore. She
prayed the kind of prayer she had not prayed in
her life before. She prayed right this time around.
Let’s quickly examine her prayer point.
And she vowed a vow, and said o Lord of hosts, if
thou will indeed look on the affliction of thine
handmaid, and remember me, and not forget
thine hand maid, but will give unto thine
handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto
the Lord all the days of his life and there shall no
razor come upon his head. 1 Samuel 1:11
At this point, she was actually tired of praying the
wrong prayer, asking for a child so as to prove a
point to Peninnah. She was tired of asking for a
child for her own selfish reason so that she could
compete with her adversary. she no longer has
lust of the flesh and lust of the eyes. She realizes it
is not necessary. She has learnt the hard way, for
years that has been her focused for fasting and she
had no result to show for it. But this time around
she has been ripped of self, she got to the point of
surrendering all to God. She humbles herself
before God. She no longer sees God has a wicked
God who has refused to give her children. And she
believed again in this God who can do all things.
She has lost her pride of life. She has grown to the
point of seeing God has her portion that she could
live without her son being with her, her children
can serve God like Eli and that’s her fulfillment.
She just discovered God’s purpose for her life.
Glory! God closed her womb to accomplish great
thing in her and to further the whole plan of
salvation. You see this is the point where God is
pushing you to, so you can be relevant in His
agenda on earth.

At this point she made a vowed to give him unto
the Lord all the days of his life as a Nazarene. She
passed her test, now she has picked the need in
God’s heart. Meanwhile, the priest who are Eli’s
children have been misbehaving so God is seeking
a replacement for them because they can’t take
the baton from their father Eli. I just felt we can’t
describe the joy that fills God’s heart each time we
allow him to conform us to His image. I just picture
how God was boasting about job; I hope he will be
able to boast about us too. it has been overly said
that we usually think we are waiting on God while
God is actually waiting on us to grow and have a
mind reset.
I know you are seeing yourself in this story. You
have female children with no male child and you
have done a lot of sacrifices too, giving to children
and sowing into different gospel based ministry,
you have been fasting and begging God for male
child for years and he has not answer because you
have been asking for the wrong reason so you
could keep your husband and his family on your
sides, so the names and heritage of the family can
be preserved, so you could compete well and
show him off among your friends and family and
For numerous selfish reason. Until you discover
God’s agenda for your life in that area you will not
have result. Search the heart of God’s will as
regards the issue and submit to it. Perhaps it is not
even in God’s agenda to give you a biological male
child!
The Bible is a book of keys; it is fill
with keys of the kingdom needed to
open all doors for us.
WHAT MUST I DO?
Every door responds to a key, the day you found it
is your day. There are things you do not know that
are responsible for your delay. There is ideology or
mindset that is not consistent with the word of
God that is causing this limitation. The Bible is a
book of keys; it is fill with keys of the kingdom
needed to open all doors for us. But only those
who know which key open which door will have
results. Here are few keys glean from this story
that can solve the problem of delay as the Holy
Spirit leads you through it.
DISCOVER GOD’S PURPOSE AND RUN WITH IT
That thou shall set apart unto the Lord all that
opens the matrix…all the firstborn of man among
thy children shall thou redeem. Exodus 13:12-13,
Luke 2:23
My son attends to my words, incline thine ear
unto my sayings…They are life to those who
found them and health to their flesh. Proverb
4:20-22
It is not enough to pour out your heart before God
without first seeking and yielding to His will.
Hannah came to the understanding of God’s will,

that every male child that opens the womb shall
be called holy to the Lord and she align herself to
God’s will, so she was able to redeem the time.
You must search the Word of God to locate His will
for you during your time of delay. When you know
what God is saying particularly to you concerning
that issue, align to His voice. Do not struggle with
God; he knows the best for you. Seek first the
kingdom of God and his righteousness and every
other thing that are earlier delayed will be added
unto you. I know a lady who for over a decade was
praying to get marry and the answers was not
forth coming until she humbly discovers the will of
God for her life and she align with it. She shifted
her focus from marriage and focus on the purpose
of God for her life. When she has forgotten about
the issue and got dedicated to kingdom issues in
her territory, God decorated her with a good
home. I cannot over emphasize the place of
waiting on God to locate the Word of God, His
instruction for you in your time of delay. Seek ye
out of the book of the law and read, not one of
these shall fail…Isaiah 34:16. We read about Jesus,
he was never stranded, he always knows what to
do. Just like Nicodemus ask Jesus what must I do
to be saved? You must Ask questions too, God
what do you want me to do? Why am I being
delay? What is the way out? My son attends to my
words, incline thine ear unto my sayings…They are
life to those who found them and health to their
flesh so those who do not found them will
experience death, barrenness, poverty, sadness,
confusion, …not physical death at first.
DELIGHT IN THE LORD
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give
thee the desires of thine heart. Psalms 37:4
This is a call for us to be rightly position in God.
When you take delight in the Lord. You will be
preoccupied with God’s word, His thought will
become your thought, His heart beat will be
revealed to you and that will become your heart
beat. You will be able to pick the need in God’s
heart per time and that will influence your prayer
point. Kingdom advancement endeavor will be
your desire and your prayers, tell me how will God
not grant your heart desire. When you seek God’s
kingdom even in your prayer life, he will definitely
add every other thing that you need to it because
he knows you will not misuse His resources but
you will rather use it to advance His kingdom.
Evaluate your prayer point, what percentage of
your prayer point is kingdom advance focus
prayer. Jesus said His nourishment is in doing
God’s will and finishing it. John 4:34. We must also
shift our attention from I and myself to doing the
will of God in winning souls at all cost. This is what
erupt joy in heaven and also gladdens the father’s
heart. Imagine when your life makes God happy,
what need or bills in your life will he not foot
speedily.

ENGAGE THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE
As God leads you, sow seeds into kingdom
advancement endeavor like Abraham paid tithe of
all to Melchizedek and his lesser was blessed by
his greater. He also took care of the three angelic
visitors. Also, Hannah and are family also went to
Shiloh to sacrifice even though we don’t do such
sacrifice again as Jesus is our substitutionary
sacrifice. Noah also gave sacrifice and the flood
was never repeated again. Cast your bread upon
the water after many days you will find it. like that
widow’s mite do a giving that you will feel in your
finance. Cornelius prayer and alms giving didn’t go
unnoticed before God.
ENGAGING THE PROPHETICS
Then Eli answered and said, go in peace and the
God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou
have asked of him. 1 Samuel 1: 17
We could see this in the story of Zachariah too,
when the angels spoke the Word of God to him,
the spirit and the life in the word entered him and
the yoke of barrenness was broken in his life and
he was set upon his feet (John 6:63 and Ezekiel
2:2).
There is a higher level of anointing needed to
break that yoke of barrenness in Hannah. We must
know how to take advantage of the prophetic in
our lives. Even though they are not perfect vessel
they are all human carrying graces lavished on
them by God for the work of ministry. The church
is laid upon the foundation of the apostle and the
prophet, Jesus being the chief corner stone. I
know you have been ordained a prophet too.
Whatever challenges persist in your life is because
you don’t have the required level of anointing and
understanding that can subdue it. I encourage you
to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
so that understanding and the anointing that brim
with peace may be multiplied unto you.
At this time Hannah has been broken, she no
longer gets provoke easily, she is humble and
submissive. She prayed in her heart with no voice
heard so Prophet Eli thought she had been drunk.
He said unto her put away thy wine from thee. But
Hannah calmly answer no my Lord, I am not drunk.
Those that get drunk by wine or strong wine are
counted as daughter of Beliah in those days even
till now it is still not acceptable. Hannah replied
respectfully making herself clear to the prophet.
She passed the last test. And that was it. the
Prophetic authorized heaven to answer her by
saying go in peace and the God of Israel grant thy
petition. He has the key to unlock the door
Hannah has been knocking for years. Glory!
You see why you have to grow up, how many
times has God send an angel to you in form of a
person and you have succeeded in chasing them
away because of your impatience and pride. God’s
vessels carrying the anointing you need are here
on earth but you can’t access that anointing until
you believe. Believe the Lord your God so shall be
established believe His prophet, so shall ye
prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20). God can use them

for you. Probably you are expecting that those
God will send your help through will be perfect
vessel, you may have to wait forever. Make sure
you are led by the Holy Spirit before you visit any
prophet so that you won’t fall in the wrong hand
because there are numerous wolves in sheep
clothing, servant of the devil who calls their self
the prophet of God out there destroying lives.
Also, prophet confirm God’s word to us on many
occasions. No father will go to third party before
reaching his beloved son whom He has free access
to always. The father will only reach his son
through third party if the son is hard of hearing or
if he couldn’t access him easily. Whatever any
prophet tells you, you must also be diligent to wait
on God and hear Him for yourself just like the
many Samaritans who believed on Jesus not just
because the Samaritan woman told them about
the messiah but much more because they heard
Him themselves and confirm that he is indeed the
Christ, the Savior of the world. John 4:42. The
period of waiting are design to work on you, they
are design for you to learn. Learn how to manage
relationship, how to manifest fruit of the spirit at
all times. Don’t let that delay bury your daily life in
bitterness and grief. Rejoice always and again I say
rejoice even in that conditions.
TAKE ACTION AFTER PRAYER
...So, the woman went her way, and did eat and
her countenance was no sad. And Elkanah knew
Hannah his wife and the Lord remembered her. 1
Samuel 1:18-19
What determines man’s believe in God’s word is
action after receiving the word from God in your
study or prayer time or from His servant. Hannah
had truly grown; she proved this by her joy at the
word of God just like Jeremiah said I rejoice at that
word as one that found a great spoil. God’s word
was unto him the joy and the rejoicing of his heart
(Jeremiah 15:16). I could picture Hannah rejoicing
all the times, singing praise to God with melody in
her heart until it happened. We must understand
that It actually came to pass in the process of time
it didn’t happen right away.
FAITH EXPRESSED IN PRAISE
Continual Praise is one of the key instruments that
finally authorized God to speedily manifest your
miracle on earth. Living in perpetual joy till you can
lay hold on your answer on earth. Many have
heard the word of God concerning their situation
severally from God and from His servants yet they
won’t stop asking for it. They remain sad and
muddy. Their unbelief limits God per time. They
never authorized God to manifesting their
request. Because they belief not in God, and
trusted not in His salvation (Psalms 78:22).
Elkanah uncover Hannah again and this time
around, she conceived because the equation has
been completed in the realm of the spirit.

DEDICATION
...I have lent him to the Lord as long as he lives,
he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped
the Lord there. 1 Samuel 1:28
It is better not to make a vow to God or your
friends by the leading of your flesh than to fail to
keep it. The truth is, you can’t fulfill any vow
except God help you. Many are currently in
trouble because they had made certain vow in the
past without fulfilling it because they can’t even
remember or they do not have the capacity to
fulfill it. It is God that is at work in you both to will
and to do of His good pleasure. On your own you
can do nothing. Your salvation was by grace
through faith, not of your work. So, let God help
you and stop making unnecessary vow that can
put you in trouble as we could see in the case of
Jephthah.
Hannah was able to fulfill her vow, dedicating
Samuel to God with joy not sorrowfully, regretting
the day she made the vow. God rewarded her with
six more children. But what if her husband said
no, because her husband was not there when she
made the vow. What would have happened?
Please be wise. Do not let any pain of delay push
you to make any vow except you are been led by
God. As many that are being led by the spirit, they
are the sons of God. If you are His sheep, then you
must wait to hear his voice before taking any
decision. What A will be told to do may be
different from what B is expected to do because
they both have different story line.
There was a single lady who heard a testimony
from a married pastor, of how he vowed during his
courtship with his wife that if he ever fornicates
with her before marriage that God should strike
him with leprosy. Here she was in a relationship,
where she and the brother sometimes slip into
romance and they are both tired of it. So, she
made the vow herself that if she ever falls again
God should strike her with leprosy. But lo and
below, the brother was not aware of her vow until
she denied the brother the next time but the
brother didn’t concur so they fell again. The lady
almost became leprous except for God’s mercy
which prevailed. Afterward they both prayed
together, sought God’s grace to help them not to
fall again, made serious decision to follow biblical
solution to flee youthful lust (2Tim. 2:22) and
discipline involving putting their body under that
was when they overcame that temptation (1Cor.
6:18).
Are all the delays caused by God?
NO! For many of us God is waiting on us while we
thought we are waiting on God.
It is just like what I witness the other day in a
commercial bus, a three year old boy asking his
mother to buy him a car simply because he
thought his mother has the capacity to do that

while forgetting that he on the other hand doesn’t
have the capacity to manage the car. The mother
who was only human said yes because he doesn’t
want the boy to cry. The boy kept pointing on all
the cars that drove pass calling it his own while we
all laughed at him. Our heavenly father though He
is the possessor of heaven and earth yet He won’t
answer such request because of his undying love
for his sons because he knows the car can kill that
son soon. He will rather take his time to grow the
son, training him on how to profit with the car for
several years until the son is qualified to manage
it well as we could see in this story.
And it came to pass that when Jesus was
returned, the people gladly return, the people
gladly received him, for they were all waiting for
Him Luke 8:40
And a woman having an issue of blood twelve
years, which had spent all her living upon
physicians neither could be healed of any. Came
behind Him, and touch the border of his garment:
and immediately her issue of blood
stanched...Daughter, be of good comfort: thy
faith hath made thee whole, go in peace. Luke
8:43-48
Among the multitude who was desperately
waiting for Jesus was the woman with the issue of
blood. They were only able to receive him with joy
because their desperate hearts have been fully
prepared to receive him. This woman waited for
twelve years because she had been looking to the
wrong people for help all those years. She had
spent all her living on earthly physicians neglecting
the heavenly physician. She couldn’t be healed of
any of them. Her delay was caused by herself. The
day she got the understanding of chasing after
Jesus with all heart, everything changes.
Impatience is actually the cause of delay in many
lives. Their inability to wait for the fullness of
God’s time to come. Just like Mary the mother of
Jesus taught it was time for God to help in
supplying the finished wine in that marriage at the
Canaan of Galilee, but Jesus didn’t help until he
got the signal from His heavenly father that it was
time to help out. No matter the number of times
you fast and pray for that seeming need in your
life, God won’t grant you until he knows that you
can handle it. he won’t give you what will kill you
because He loves you. Patience is one of the fruits
of the spirit we must constantly bear. We must be
followers of those who through faith and patience
obtain the promise.
I must confess I have always been intrigued about
the story of that man at the pool of Bethesda, who
has had the infirmity for thirty-eight years and had
been waiting for the moving of the water. Why did
Jesus heal only him amidst the crowd of impotent
folks at that pool and at some other times in the
scripture He healed all that came to him. John 5:1-
15, Luke 4:40. I believe it was the fullness of time

designed for that man to be healed, so Jesus had
to locate him. Too often, the race is not to the
swift, nor the battle to the strong, time and chance
happen to them all.
Lack of faith is one of the major reasons why many
are still in the waiting room. We must learn to walk
in what we say we believe. Walking in the faith
doesn’t mean there won’t be setback but it does
means you will eventually rise above them. Am
very sure this woman must have heard about
Jesus but perhaps she didn’t believe in him. It was
until she had spent all her savings, all she trusted
in to exchange for healing before the physicians.
She got to a point that she has nothing again, no
resources and no man to help out. At this point the
only hope she had was to go to Jesus, so her faith
sprang up. She had built up her faith to the point
that she told herself if only I could just touch the
hem of his garment I would be healed. So, her faith
in Jesus actually healed her. Jesus called her
daughter, imagine the healing that she ought to
have gotten twelve year ago as a daughter of
Abraham was delayed because of lack of faith.
Jesus confirmed it, that it was her faith that made
her whole.
Lack of spiritual intelligence or understanding is
another reason why people are delayed. They do
not know what they ought to do. They leave their
life to chance, not knowing they have roles to play
to influence the outcome. They do not know they
have responsibility to search out the way out of
their delay. Ability to seek out the reason why you
are delay and what God will want you to do cannot
be over emphasized.
Whatever point you may be in your journey; you
can never be too far from the reach of God.
Remember nothing takes God by surprise. He
knows the end from the beginning, he designed all
the process you are going through including the
delay you’re going through. Receive strength to
believe again, receive strength to build again, rise
again, run with the word again because many lives
depend on your victory over delay. You are
walking in victory over delay when you no longer
see it as delay but as God’s method of building and
growing you into what he has designed you to be,
so he can trust you with something bigger than
you. your pruning is not the end but the beginning.
At the end of each stages of your training you will
realize it all worth it. God doesn’t waste any of
your experience, he will use it all to achieve his
purpose on earth. May heaven smile on you, May
all you are going through help in enlarging your
capacity for the opportunities ahead of you. May
you remain relevant in God’s agenda on earth.
Receive grace to forgo the immediate satisfaction
for the ultimate glory.

AT THE OTHER SIDE
…beyond the pain!
How can the punishment for self-aggrandizing,
craftiness and deceitfulness be the rolling of an
immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll down
every time it neared the top, repeating this action
for eternity? That actually happened to Sisyphus
the king of Ephyra. Though it sounds absurd but in
it lies a huge lesson, do not give in to
circumstantial disappointment or never try to
escape from failures rather accept it, then never
give up till you fulfill your potential.
Considering the myth of Sisyphus, Albert Camus, a
French philosopher, claims that there is
fundamental conflict between what we want from
the universe be it meaning, order, reasons, joy and
what we eventually find in the universe formless
chaos. Life will never give you what you want from
it. We will either discover that meaning through a
leap of faith, by placing our hopes in God or we
will conclude that life is meaningless.
At the other side of whatever failure, you
encounter in life will always be success and
laughter, at the other side of pain is gain. But it
takes a leap of faith in the supernatural God to be
able to get to the other side. The story of Abraham
the father of faith profoundly stressed this point.
THE FAITHFUL ABRAHAM
After this thing the Word of the Lord came to
Abram in a vision, saying fear not Abram, I am thy
shield and thy exceedingly great reward. Genesis
15:1
Despite all that lot did to Abraham, not being
submissive to him, fighting him until Abram
release him to pick wherever he wants, and
judging by mere sight he picked the seeming best
part of the land. Abram had just rescue lot his

brother and the spoil too, he has proven himself
to be an uncommon man of integrity. He had just
had an encounter with Melchizedek who called
him Abram of the highest, possessor of heaven
and earth and he proclaim blessing upon him and
Abram paid tithe of all. He refuses to take the spoil
for a very good reason not because he was proud
but so that God alone will get all the glory over his
riches.
After all this display of exceptional Godly virtue of
love to the undeserved, reference for God in
paying tithe of all, giving attitude without
covetousness, concern for the men which went
with him to take their portion while he refuses to
take any of the spoil. The word of the Lord came
to him, fear not Abram; I am thy shield and thy
exceedingly great reward.
It occurred to me that, perhaps Abraham was
afraid, thinking the larger army made up of a
partnership of four kings he just defeated may
attract an attack on him so God told him he is his
shield. He also said he is his reward because he
had denied himself of great reward offered by the
king of Sodom. I also felt probably Abram was a bit
discouraged after the whole victory when he
remembered his condition of barrenness.
Remember the best of man is still a man, have you
ever experience such too? that after achieving a
great feat or one huge success, completed a phase
of your life with excellent result, got an award
from your organization as the best worker of the
year, you just got a grant or scholarship, you just
completed an educational program with an
excellent result, the list is endless. Then you just
remembered an area of your life that you are still
trusting God to change, and it weighs you down.
We do not have a high priest who is not touched
by the feelings of our infirmities but at all point he
was tempted like us all. Abram desired to see
God’s promise fulfilled in his life. God came in to
rescue him via His word. I am thy shield and thy
exceedingly great reward. Those are powerful
words,
• ‘I am’ not ‘I was’ everyday of your life Abram, I
am your protection,
• ‘I am thy shield’ you won’t be attacked or hurt;
you won’t experience what you just rescue lot
from.
• ...’and thy exceedingly great reward’ not ‘I am
thy reward’
The word ‘reward’ is great on its own. For God to
have add the words ‘exceedingly great’, It appears
to me that God used these qualifying words to
make him understand to certain extent, God’s
greatness. Just like it is also in Ephesians 3:20, now
unto him that is able to do ‘exceedingly’
‘abundantly’ ‘above’ All that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us. Imagine
when the God who owns the earth and its fullness,

as in the possessor of heaven and earth is your
exceedingly great reward. You are highly favored.
The reason while many are having financial
struggle is because you are seeing your salary or
your income as your reward. You really wish to
help people and give to further God’s kingdom but
all you think about is how your salary will foot your
entire monthly bill. At the end of the month you
always realize, your salary and company benefit
are not just enough. What an assurance it was for
Abraham, and it is for us all today, who are the
seed of Abraham, heir of the promise. Halleluiah!
What a system of advantage. As in God is my
exceedingly great reward. The word of God is also
coming to you too, fear not. I am more than
sufficient for you.
And Abram said, Lord God, what will thou give
me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my
house is this Eliezer of Damascus? Genesis 15:2
Imagine the answer of Abram was a question
‘what will thou give me, seeing I go childless’. This
is me thinking, if God says he is your exceedingly
great reward what can he not give, is there any
need that is not already contained or covered by
that word ‘exceedingly great reward’. in the same
manner, we were told in the Bible that the highest
need of our life has been met in Jesus Christ
(Romans 8:32). He that spared not His own son,
but delivered him up for us, how shall he not with
him also freely gives us all things. Also, I think
Abram was saying if you are my everything then
give me a child for, I am getting old and even if you
don’t give me, no problem, for my steward will be
my heir. Just like you also have been requesting
certain things from God for several years and you
are already given up on God. Anyway, God
understands that Abraham needed to be
reminded His unwavering promises and reminded
him what he had told him in Genesis 12:2, 13:15-
16.
And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto
him, saying, this shall not be thy heirs; but he that
shall come forth out of thine own bowel shall be
thine. Genesis 15:4
We also need to constantly remind ourselves of
God’s promises for us just picture how God
laughed at Abram and thought only if he could just
see the script of his life or take a little sneak into
the future, five, ten, twenty years from now. Like
he is watching you too in your state of
discouragement thinking if only you could see and
believe what he had already made your life to be
ten years from now, …you will start dancing and
praising him but don’t wait till then be strong in
faith and give praise in that your condition. Are
you waiting for your admission, promotion,
husband or children or ministry expansion or
reaching multitude with the gospel, and God is
already looking at your children doing convocation

from the university, seeing you and your family
sitting round your table like olive tree, You guys
are feasting in His presence with lots of joy and
laughter, seeing you leading multitude to Christ,
healing the sick, raising the dead, doing all manner
of miracle in Jesus name I really want you to start
seeing this in your imagination.
Some other times, God shows you the mountain
top he is taken you to on the other side while you
are still in the valley so you could be motivated
and strengthen to endure the cross of the valley
for the joy that is set before you on the
mountaintop. The time frame for the movement
from the valley to the mountaintop is the process
designed to purge and refine you so you could last
on the mountaintop.
One key lesson here, why waiting on God, please
do not try to help God by doing it your own way.
Abraham was presenting Eliezer to God that he
could be his heir. God says this shall not be thy
heirs. How many names have you presented to
God too, that they can be your husband? Some
sister goes all the way to start praying over certain
names they have picked their self without the
consent of the men because they are so desperate
to get married. They are sick and tired of waiting.
Be encourage my sister, though it’s not easy but
receive the supply of the spirit to go through it.
God is working not against you but for you. God is
saying ‘this shall not be thy husband’. The best
thing you can do to help your self is your
submission to God’s will and way. You do yourself
much harm when you disobey. Remember you
didn’t create yourself, so he who made you know
you better. None shall lack his mate; he will give
you yours at the set time.
And he brought him forth aboard, and said, look
now toward heaven, and tell me the stars, if thou
be able to number them: and he said unto him,
so shall thy seed be. Genesis 15:5
God needs him to see what he is telling him, so he
can birth it. it is first a mind thing, as he thinks in
his heart about it, so is he. Proverb 23:7. in the
process of time he will manifest it on earth. Abram
has been filled with the thought of barrenness so
he has been manifesting it on earth. Even though
God is going to give him his Isaac at appointed
time according to His grand plan and program, yet
he has to partner with God in playing his own part.
He got to be responsible.
God knows that what we see in picture, movie,
narration stays in our mind more than what we
hear or read. He confirms His word with an
illustration by telling him to count the stars, if he
could. so shall his seed be, can you see it is
exceedingly great because he couldn’t number the
stars. This helps his imagination. How I wish

Abram knew that the greatest of his descendants
would be the bright and morning Star (Revelation
22:16).
God is asking you too; as regards your area of
delay what can you see? Are you seeing the
negative pictures devil the father of lies has been
presenting to you in your dreams, report of the
doctors, report of your friends and foes, report of
your family and community, the limitation in your
country or the report of God, your exceedingly
great reward who has already met the highest
need of your life in Jesus. So I asked you again
what is that Word God has revealed to you in his
word about your situation, have you only read it
or hear it? it is time for you to see it...picture it,
preoccupy yourself with it, start acting it as from
now. Hallelujah! As you think it so you are. And
that is faith, the substance of the things you hoped
for, the evidence of the things you have not seen
with your physical eyes.
THE SEEING EYES
He stood by the lake of Gennesaret, and saw two
ships standing by the lake, but the fishermen
were gone out of them, and were washing their
nets. Luke 5:1-2
Here was Jesus in this story, he needs to teach
multitude who were pressing upon him to hear
the Word of God. as he stood thinking about how
and what medium to use, he saw two ships
standing by the lake but fishermen were gone out
of them and were washing their nets. Jesus could
see the opportunity and resources available
around him because he has a seeing eyes. He did
not only see the Ship where he could sit and teach
the people but also, he could see three men, who
has been predestinated to be disciple so they
could succeed him. He saw them not as who they
were at that particular point in time, mere
unlearned men who specializes in fishing, but as
who they ought to be, He could see beyond the
immediate need to generational need. These men
became great men, part of those who turned the
world upside down. Abraham couldn’t just see
beyond his immediate need to father a son. It was
until Abraham could see what God has been
saying he couldn’t have his need met. He has
always wanted to father just one Isaac while God
has design him to be father of nations. His smaller
fraction need was wrapped up in the bigger plan
of God for him. May you be able to see farther
than your immediate need. That need in your
heart now is a pointer to a bigger need that needs
to be met to advance God’s kingdom.
Our Ability to not only see the already provided
resources and opportunity available around us per
time but to also see beyond meeting our
immediate need will make our life’s journey easy
and faster. If there is a miracle you really need it is
the miracle of a constant seeing eyes. This also
applies to appraising situations correctly. For so
many of us our delay is God’s mercy system design
to align us to His perfect will for our lives. For some
others it is His way of grooming and training you,
enlarging your capacity for the assignment and

glory ahead so that the weight of the glory will not
sink you. We must be able to see circumstances
the way God sees it. You need to start figuring out
by the help of the Holy Spirit the opportunities
embedded in all that delay and stop seeing
challenges. For someone, your promotion has
been delayed because it will involve change of
environment which you are not ripe for. There are
good character and skills you are still struggling
with which will be needed in that new
environment for the advancement of God’s
kingdom and your own lifting too. He that is
faithful in little things shall be made master of
much, develop the ability to be faithful and loyal
in your given assignment and watch how rapidly
you will be promoted.
And he believed in the Lord and he counted it to
him for righteousness… I am the Lord that
brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give
thee this land to inherit it. and he said, Lord God,
whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it.
Genesis 15:6-7
After counting stars innumerably, Abram could
see what God is actually saying, the visual helps his
mind to picture God’s Word so he believed that
God’s Word will come to pass. As contrary to what
Zachariah did, Abraham believed God and it was
counted to him as righteousness. Since no one can
be good enough to attain righteousness before
God, we must have God’s righteousness being
credited to us by doing what father Abraham did,
believing in God. And this is salvation by grace
through faith. Abraham was declared righteous
not because of his obedience because he was still
uncircumcised here or fulfillment of religious law,
it was faith and faith alone in God that later
prompted his obedience. Romans 4:1-24. Are you
reading this book and you are yet to be save, you
think your sin are too numerous, no, all you need
to do is just believe in God, His son has paid the
price for your sins already! Embrace Jesus as your
Lord and Savior. It’s a major shift to the other side
in life, a shift from being illegitimate child of God
to being an heir, a rare shift from prodigal lifestyle
to a passionate fruitful life, from hopeless side of
life to happiness. Romans 10:4-11
Now that he believed God for this, God moved a
step higher to tell him that he will give him the
land of Canaan to inherit but His faith didn’t carry
this one, you see while you need to grow. Let’s
assume God is actually taking you through A to Z
of great things he has design for you, He has just
told you C and you don’t believe it, when will He
get to Z. Have you seen one of the causes of delay?
Abraham just like Zachariah asked how shall I
know this. His faith didn’t carry this one, he asked
for a proof. God had to help his faith by telling him
let’s sign a contract and settle this once and for all.
God ask him to prepare certain animals, cut them
into pieces, and place each piece opposite each
other. Abraham understood what God was about
doing according to the custom of that time, God
was about to cut a covenant with him. The
covenant is usually made when parties to the
agreement walked through the animal parts
together, repeating the terms of the covenant. It
is a serious covenant sealed with blood. God
wanted to give him concrete assurance. So, he

went through what Abraham understood as
covenant. Oh, what a great depth of love God has
towards mankind. God still deal with us this way
too to help us out. although He desire that we
grow but prior to our maturity, He comes down
dealing with us individually at the level of our
understanding while he still sends us teachers to
teach us His way. Holy Spirit is our first teacher
who expound the scripture to us so that we may
grow thereby. The level of our growth determines
the level of our faith. Faith only comes through the
hearing and the understanding of the word of
God. in the beginning was the word, the word was
God, so as the word is being revealed to us daily,
we get to know God more, get strong and we will
be able to do exploit.
GOD OF ALL COMFORT
Blessed be the God and the father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the father of mercies and God of all
comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort, those who are in
any trouble, with the comfort with which we
ourselves are comforted by God . 2Cor. 1:3-4
God still comforts His children, I’ve been
comforted on several occasion when I found
myself at dead end and people thought there was
no way, He showed up for me. No matter what
you are going through, some person has been
through it before and God carry them through, he
is still the same yesterday, today and forever, he
will carry you through too. Please receive the
comfort of the Lord in His word. He shall increase
your greatness and comfort you on every side
psalm 71:21. There is higher dimension of
greatness loading up for you in those excruciating
happenings around you. It is actually intentional.
God made it happen especially for your pruning
and promotion. There can never be a promotion
without an examination. He will restore your
wasted years thereafter. May you not fail your test
in life (Amen).
For the Lord will comfort Zion, he will comfort
ALL her waste places, he will make her wilderness
like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the
Lord, joy and gladness will be found in it,
thanksgiving and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51;3
I even I, am he who comforts you. who are you
that you should be afraid of a man who will die
and of a son of a man who will be made like
grass? Isaiah 51:12
There are times God gives you instruction in terms
of rendering unusual meaningful services or
volunteer, giving that you would feel, days of
fasting and prayer, read certain books, attend
certain event, high level of consecration like
pastor Benny Him said at a time God told him to
stop washing TV, so he spend more time with God,
things that will give you a broken heart –a broken
heart God will not despise-, things that will make
your understanding open, things that will make
you be able to picture what God is saying, things
that will quicken your faith, things that will deaden
the unbelief in your flesh and many more.
A sister I know was praying for an opportunity to
be trained for effectiveness in her calling. For
fulfillment of this request God needed her to
change environment, to where opportunities for

the training is achievable. This new location was
actually where she grew up, because of
certain unpalatable experiences she had there,
she never wanted to reside there again. So, she
could not just hear or see what God was saying
about her shift to that environment. It took God’s
mercy to be activated over her life. How?
God in His mercy had to stir up everyone against
her where she stayed until she had to forcefully
leave that location one fateful day. still struggling
with God, she went somewhere else but she
wasn’t settled until she came to this particular
place where her help has been waiting for her that
same day. It was a terrible experience for her but
she is ever grateful to God for that shift. It was a
turning point to greatness in her life. So, God still
go a great length out of His love for us, to see us
align to His will for us but we can save ourselves
the stress and waste of time by seeking and
yielding willing to His will, because on the other
side lies something beyond pain.
And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep
fell upon Abram; and lo, a horror of great
darkness fell upon him. And God said unto
Abram… Genesis 2:21-
And it came to pass, that when the sun went
down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace
and a burning lamp that passed between those
pieces in the same day the Lord made a covenant
with Abram, saying unto thy seed have I given
this land. Genesis 15:17-18
Abram needed to know that he would have land
and descendant but all would not go well with His
descendants in the future. This was a dreadful
aspect to an amazing story. God spoke of the
slavery and hardship Israel would endure in Egypt.
Exodus 1;1-14, yet after four generations they will
return and possess Canaan. So, God passed
through the sacrificed animals in the covenant
ceremony himself in form of smoking oven and a
burning torch. It is based on who God is and what
he can do. This covenant will not fail because God
cannot fail. God is so patient with us, he had to
make covenant with Abram to help him believe
even though before the covenant he had already
given the land to his seed that was why God said
‘unto thy seed have I given this land’. this was
actually a shadow of things to come. It was
pointing to the covenant God will establish with us
through the blood of the lamb, Jesus which we
only enter by faith.
CHEST OF TREASURE
And Sarai said unto Abram, behold now, the Lord
has restraint me from bearing: I pray thee, go in
unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain
children by her, and Abram hearkened to the
voice of Sarai. Genesis 16:2
One key attitude I deeply cherished in all these
characters we are exploring, which is also a lesson
we must urgently imbibe, is that they never
attribute their delays or barrenness to the devil or
any man rather they confess it was God. She knew

God is sovereign over the womb. How many times
have you attributed the delays in your life to men
or the devil, given men the power they don’t have
over you? The truth is the devil cannot attack
God’s children without God’s permission as we
could see in the life of job and it is usually for a
greater good. He can only attack when the
children of God allow him through sin,
disobedience or ignorance. And that is why the
Bible counsels us to give no place to the devil.
Our mother Sarah shows us one of the
weaknesses of human, hope deferred make the
heart sick proverb 13;12. tired of waiting she
begged her husband to take in her maid. She
figured out another way of raising a seed for her
family through a surrogate mother. we all know
the great pain this method of helping God to fulfill
His promise caused Abram and his seed. But as
then he that was born after the flesh persecuted
him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is
now. Galatians 4:29. Ishmael and his descendant,
who were born after the flesh persecuted Isaac
and his descendant. who were born after the
spirit? So also, now, whatever you get outside God
will cause you pain at the end and will also fight
the actual provision of God for you. How many
women have also figured out other ways of
helping God to fulfill His promise in their lives in
our world? Please I genuinely plead with you,
repent and return to God, because we have seen
so many cases as we could also see in this story, it
usually leads to an unending pain. Just like that
sinful woman who return to the master pouring
her much love on him, as she washes His feet with
tears, and wipe them with the hairs of her head,
and anointed them with alabaster oil. Jesus said to
her thy faith has saved thee, go in peace (Luke
7:50). It is more of the state of the heart. You need
to truly repent, forgive yourself and receive the
forgiveness of God by faith. Arise like a giant and
say rejoice not over me my enemy though I fall yet
I will rise again. Your faith in the finished work of
Christ shall save you.
The sequence of temptation is usually built over
time; Abraham must have been nursing this idea
of going in to Hagar before Sarah presented it to
him. And this shows in his immediate acceptance
of the offer because he could have said no or go to
consult God if he could go ahead to do it since he
has an intimate relationship with God. But here it
only shows us the limitation associated with being
a man. We have this treasure in a weak earthen
vessel. The humanity of man shows in various
form if not quickly dealt with, it can drag man out
of God’s will. Many who went to seek children
from another source didn’t want to but after
persistent persuasion from relative and family for
years without them having result to show, they
got tired and went. If you have fallen, please rise
up again, it can’t be worst before God, he loves

you unconditionally. Seek God again he will grant
you deliverance and total restoration.
For the fact that he is the father of faith doesn’t
mean he was flawless he has his pains too as we
could see in this story. Acknowledging our
humanity will help us appreciate the help of God.
it will equally help us quit boasting in self but
rather boast in God just like Paul says he will boast
in his infirmities that God’s power may rest upon
him. Receive grace to rise above the pain of
humanity.
A CUTTING AWAY
I am the Almighty God; walk before me and be
thou perfect… Neither shall thy name any more
be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham;
for a father of many nations have I made
thee…and I will make thee exceedingly fruitful,
and I will make nations of thee and kings shall
come. Genesis 17:1-6
Now it has been thirteen years since Abraham
gave birth to Ishmael and thirteen years since he
received a word from the Lord. The Lord spoke to
him now that he was ninety-nine years and he had
waited some 25years for the fulfillment of God’s
promise to him ‘I am the Almighty God; walk
before me and be thou perfect.’ God first gave
him the revelation of himself and then expressed
His expectation from him. Abraham I am the big
breasted God who can meet the need of all men, I
can do all things but you need to first walk
uprightly before me. God is also calling your
attention to deal with little sin that is eating your
vine.
Abraham had turn to put his trust in his flesh by
going in to Hagar. So, God made a covenant of
circumcision with him that every male child
among his family shall be circumcised. It occurs to
me that the cutting away of Abraham foreskin
actually purify him and make him trust God the
more for Isaac. God’s covenant shall be in his flesh
for an everlasting covenant (Col. 2:11). This is God
rendering help to Abraham to keep him and his
seed in remembrance of his covenant and to keep
them from trusting in their flesh but in Him alone.
God also change his name from ‘father of many’ to
‘father of many nations’. Many of his mockers
must have reproached him the more for a change
of name without result. They must have said when
you were father of many; you had no child is it not
now worst that you are calling yourself father of
many nations without having anything to show for
it just like they are mocking you too. Even your
mockers are working for your good. But Abraham
who against hope believed in hope, that he might
become the father of many nation. He ran with
God’s instruction, that very day he circumcised the
entire male in his family including himself. It was

not an easy task considering the large no of male
in his house and the pain that accompany being
circumstance at old age especially. Our ability to
promptly and completely run with God’s
instruction without the fear of what people will
say even when we don’t understand fully what
God is saying is key in overcoming delay in life.
Abraham was fully persuaded, he was not weak in
faith, he considered not his own body and Sarah’s
being old. He staggered not at the promise of God
through unbelief but was strong in faith giving
glory to God. Romans 4. Do not allow fear bring
logic into your faith process. Do not consider your
limitation in evaluating the word God has given
you. Like Paul, you must be able to say I know
whom I have believed and am persuaded that he
is able. 2 Timothy 1:4. No matter what you have
been through or how many times you have tried
and fail, never give up on God. He is ever faithful
and true. He is never too early; he is never too late
but He is always on time.
There are certain things God must cut away in
your life for you to be able to receive His promised
word over you. For some of us, that anger,
bitterness, stinginess, pride, gluttons, laziness,
doziness, unbelief...works of the flesh must be
done away with. For some others walking by your
senses, trusting that your help can only come from
your family and friends must be cut away. Like
Abraham we all must be circumstance in our
heart. We must get to that point that we will say
though he slays me yet will I trust you. Do not be
afraid of men laughing at you. You must be strong
in faith and express it by giving praise to God. Until
we get to that point that just like Esther, we will
be able to say if I perish, I perish but I won’t
disbelief God, that point of trusting irrespective of
whatever happen, then we are good to go.
DUE SEASON
Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time
appointed I will return unto thee, according to
the time of life and Sarah shall have a son.
Genesis 18:14
To everything there is a season, and a time to
every purpose under heaven says Ecclesiastes 3:1.
If john had been born 300years before the birth of
Jesus Christ, how would he be able to fulfill His
purpose on earth which is primarily to prepare the
way for Jesus. God works in time in his dealing
with us. He will always return to you at the
appointed time. Please do not run faster than God,
it is dangerous. Wait on the Lord and be of good
courage, he will strengthen your heart. And also,
to him, a thousand years is like a day that is passed
before him. So, we must get this understanding
and try to view delay from His perspective.
This verse is God’s word to Abraham after he had
taking care of the three visitors which he had

discerned as not ordinary men. Before this time
also he had rescue lot his brother who did not
deserve his love from captivity, on his way from
the battle he had given tithe of all to Melchizedek
who proclaim blessing upon him, he had refuse to
take the spoil from the king of Sodom and
Gomorrah but cared for the men who worked with
and make sure they took their portion of the spoil.
At this time Abraham had passed several tests,
failed some too but had learned from it and grow
thereby, did a lot of sowing and watering. Abram
had grown from seeking his own need to seeking
the heart of God. At this point Abraham had
created a pathway in God and earn a title as a
friend of God, that attracted special attention and
covenant from God. God could not hide the
destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah from him
and we could see how he stood in gap to intercede
on its behalf. God said for I know him that he will
command his children and his household after
him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord to
do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring
upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Genesis 18:19.
This is the point God is bringing you to. A point
where your heart has been purged and made
pure. When your motivation and motive for
seeking and serving him is to advance His course
on earth. A point when you will pursue God’s heart
and His will not your need. Where your needs are
aligned to His will. A point where you will start
seeking His kingdom first without bothering
yourself with every other thing because you know
God is able and he will always shepherd you well
so you won’t want. A point where you would have
learnt both to abound and to abase, so those
times you don’t have certain needs met you know
it is still a show of His mercy towards you. Waiting
period is a period of repeated sowing and
watering, trying and testing until God sees you
have learnt and grow enough to handle what he is
about to give you and he knows it won’t steal your
heart from him. It is a time to load your cloud well,
because when it is full it will rain heavily. And only
God certified this time.
And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the
Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah
conceived and bare Abraham a son in his old age,
at the set time of which God had spoken of him.
Genesis 21:1
God never fails. God is neither too early nor too
late. What he promises, He will do; He’s always on
time. God will never forget anyone; he will visit
you with that answer at the set time that will profit
heaven and fits you too according to His own
standard. Please stop straining yourself to meet
man’s timing and standard. My life is a testimony
of His greatness. I have experienced so many
delays in my life. God who always returned to me
at His time will also return to you too. I believe
God! do you believe God?

And it came to pass after these things, that God
did tempt Abraham and said unto him…take now
thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou love,
and get thee into the land Moriah; and offer him
there for a burnt offering upon one of the
mountains which I will tell thee of (Gen. 22:1-3).
Who would have thought God will still test Abram
after all he has been through? But this is God’s
system of growing His sons from one level of glory
to another. Here his faith was tested so that it can
be refined and purified again. God pruned
Abraham so that he can bring forth much fruit.
Thank God our father did not fail the test and he
moved to higher level of blessing bringing us all
into blessing, in Him all the nations of the earth
shall be blessed (Genesis 22:17-19). As we behold
him with an unveil faces, we are changed from one
level of glory to another by the help of the Holy
Spirit. For you to move to higher realm of glory in
God you have to keep beholding him and as you
do, instructions will always come from Him, he will
demand certain things from you and as you obey
you will be changed. No one get promotion
without being tested. God will always vet your
motivation and motive Per time and per season
for you to be able to do more exploit. Paul says I
die daily, so we must keep dying daily. So, God
testing us is His mercy system of helping us to keep
our flesh under, to keep us at a point where we
will always love him more than anything even that
need, he has given us.
DELAYED ON PURPOSE
The true definition of miracle is engraved in the
purpose it is meant to fulfill. The gaining of a new
employment is not more miracle than the loss of
an employment. For the one who just gain a new
employment, he just got through some betrayer,
hatred. he just being sold to slavery and God is
trying to comfort him. he is still at the level of
‘Joseph in the Potiphar’s house’, he is to go to that
office to represent Jesus well in that cooperation,
showing all and sundry how to prosper by the help
of God and much more to learn how to replicate
that kind of cooperation elsewhere that is if God
will have him be a set man or to help others in
establishing it on earth through consultancy.
While for the other who just lost his job, he is at
that point when he ought to have been a teacher
but he is still being taught, at that phase of Joseph
in the prison’ where he had to interpret prisoners
dream so God will orchestrate everything to fight
him in his comfort and prospering zone so he
could be push to the prison where he is
desperately needed so that the palace can open
up for him.
You see what I am talking about, we must repent,
reeducate ourselves and redefine what we
actually call miracle. We know that all things be it
lifting or seeming dethronement, work together
for our good. We must be sensitive to what God is
doing per time, we must see everything in life as a

miracle, because it is what you are able to see that
you become or experience. How many times have
we limited the Holy God by the way we perceive
God and all the happenings in and around us!
Some lives are actually stammering like a stouter.
Their lives are characterized by repeated cycle of
failures because they have failed to play their part
well in cooperating with God in birthing greater
dimension of them on earth. Joshua Selman also
said the dimension of their greatness has come to
them severally but it couldn’t stay because the
version of them that can accommodate and retain
it is still missing. Their mindset always rejects
opportunity and breakthrough when it comes
because it often doesn’t come in attractive
packages. They are still full of character
deficiencies like Judas Iscariots covetousness and
other works of the flesh. They only seldomly yield
to the instruction of the Holy Spirit.
The waiting time is God’s intentional method of
growing and branding you for what he created you
for. Until you cooperate with him and submit
generously to His dealing in your life like Joseph
you may need to wait still. Abraham was delayed
on purpose; until he could see purpose beyond
Isaac, he couldn’t birth Isaac. Until Hannah could
see purpose beyond proving a point to Peninnah
he couldn’t birth Samuel, so also until Zachariah
was able to step up in faith, putting his mouth
where his faith is, he couldn’t birth Zachariah.
Let’s apply it to current happenings in today’s
world. Are you currently going through a delay in
getting another job since COVID-19 made you lose
your job, or delay in your career or marriage, in
giving birth, in expansion in ministry or your
sphere of influence, owning an investment or
business or properties…whatever it is you have
been going through for years and you have applied
all the keys you know in the Bible and solution is
not forth coming forth. Have been there too.
Bishop David Oyedepo said whatever you don’t
want you don’t watch; a close mouth is a closed
destiny. You have study, prayed, fast, sow seed,
love and serve God, delightsomely obey all the
instruction of the Holy Spirit, engaged the
prophetic, you have discovered and you are
running with purpose and engage in kingdom
advancement endeavor and still the result is yet to
come forth, please still wait, the vison is for an
appointed time, just patiently wait for it, though it
tarry, it will speak at the end, having done all to
stand please stand having your loins guided with
the word of truth. Never doubt it, keep confessing
the word be the followers of those who through
faith and patience obtain the promise. You who
has gone forth sowing precious seed will doubtless
bring forth your harvest rejoicing in due season.
Please take your time, He will make all things

beautiful for you in His time. And like the Hebrew
boys, even if God will not do it be determined not
to bow to their gods.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto
eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, makes you perfect, stablish,
strengthen and settle you.
The definition of ‘a while’ varies from person to
person. The timing of that a while is only
determined and being specified by God alone.
Until he has thoroughly proven you and he can
now vouch for you like job. He can’t entrust
resources that will be wasted unto you, for him to
have chosen you in the first place is a risk. He could
have chosen another candidate for that
assignment. So, you must prove to him that you
can be trusted by wholly trusting in him. As soon
as you can be trusted by God, he will release you
as His trophy to the world. May you not fail your
test, you’ll be found provable in Jesus name.
