Why You Will
Love Our Nursery
Our Approach
We introduce the children to a wide range of activities, stimulating their natural interest to
learn facts and to acquire new skills. We encourage the children in our care to be active
and to choose equipment that interests them.
We have a range of different sections with a multitude of activities and resources from
books to computers, puzzles to paintings and even science to sand. We are proud to
maintain our own garden vegetable patch where the children can grow their own
vegetables to learn about food and healthy living.
The equipment has been carefully chosen to aid development in specific areas, we pride
ourselves in supporting children in their concentration, co-ordination, hand dexterity but
most of all learning social skills for life that encourage independence, communications
all through play.
craft tasks, and opportunities to investigate aspects related to their interests and home
life. We like to ensure that we listen to each child’s individual needs and when possible,
encourage parents, carers and visitors to come in to the nursery and talk about subjects
such as occupations and cultural backgrounds.
children are happy and content.
At Lullabies Day Nursery we believe learning should be fun and provide a holistic
Our Values
Healthy Living
The sharing of refreshments plays an important part in the social development of
children, as well as re-enforcing understanding of the importance of healthy eating.
At the Nursery, we encourage all children to eat together, as this helps to develop social
skills, simple table manners, good eating habits and independence. Members of staff
enjoy lunch with the children encouraging good table manners and good eating habits,
by being a good role model. Children are also encouraged to be self–sufficient where
possible and we provide appropriate sized cutlery and crockery to help them in this.
