tuition assistance. While the School cannot assist all who apply, the
parents of an able and ambitious student should not be deterred by
financial considerations from making application for a scholarship.
Those who wish to apply for a scholarship are asked to fill out
the standard School Scholarship Form, which will be sent upon
request. On the basis of the applicant's need, academic ability,
character, and general promise the School will grant scholarship
aid. However, it should be noted that the larger grants are awarded
through straight academic competition.
Each scholarship will be reviewed annually. Each year parents
The cost of the nine month health and accident insurance policy,
which is strongly recommended to parents ;
The current incidentals fee of $41 .50, which covers such fixed
expenses as a subscription to all student publications, the rental of
texts from the School Reserve Library, gym "white" issues (socks,
and other etcetera, laundered daily ), and a parka;
Insurance fees and the fixed incidentals fee which are due and
payable with the first tuition payment ;
Variable incidental expenses, such as the weekly allowance, the
rental of athletic equipment, the purchase of books, stationery and
so on, for which no fixed fee can be set. To cover these expenses,
