persona. It’s like
peeling layers of
her life and every
layer is filled with
surprises. So,
without wasting

begin with her
story!

A darling daughter to her parents & the apple of
her elder brother’s eye, Ritu is an extrovert person.
Age is just the number and at 28 it doesn’t stop her
from being a kid at heart.
She bonds well with all her siblings and loves
them dearly. This doesn’t end here as her cousin
Tannu reveals more about her daily dialogues and
what she funnily calls all her siblings.

not, but, even we were shocked
to know her favourites as
described by her sister, Tannu.

A DECADE OF
Ritu and Abhishek’s love story is
what we see in Bollywood movies.
Yeah! Who could have imagined
that SOUL Magazines would one
day pen down a real-life story
that resembles a reel life story.
Flashback 2008, Ritu used to visit
coaching classes and Abhishek
resided somewhere in the nearby
vicinity. One day they noticed
each other and were immediately
zinged. Soon the numbers were
exchanged and Abhishek made
the first move by calling Ritu.
Wait a minute! Before the first
call of the love story could
connect did we tell you that they
both introduced each other with
pseudo-names.

‘Pushpanjali’ &
Abhishek
introduced
himself as
‘Ashmit’. This
was one hell of
a smart move
to slowly and
steadily begin
the
relationship.

Fast forward
10 years, and
finally, the day
arrived when
the marriage
talks began.

nkit aka Ankit bhaiyya of all the sisters made sure
that all the engagement & wedding events are smooth
sailing.
Stop! Did we introduce you to Ankit? The showstopper
of all the events. No right?
Let us begin with his starry introduction!

He is handsome, tall & broad
Ankit bhaiyya is sabh ka bhaiyya & we don’t know
kiska saiyyan
He is hardworking & an arduous Pokemon collector
Ankit bhaiyya is the pomegranate of his mother’s

He is dutiful son & a doting elder brother

The First Step Towards FOREVER
O
ur overzealous bride was on
cloud nine as all she dreamt of
spending her life with Abhishek.
For her engagement, she opted
for her favourite green colour
lehenga with loads of shimmery
work. It was paired with a
dupatta, belt and matching
accessories that completed the
elegant look for the perfect
evening.
The groom wore what Ritu
had chosen for him. She
chose a blue suit for him
which made him look dapper
for the night.
Before the engagement could
commence, three preengagement
events took
place.

After conducting
all these rituals
under the watchful
eyes of our Ankit
bhaiyya the
engagement
ceremony began.

The rings were
exchanged, the
cousins enjoyed,
and the bride's
family became a
bit emotional.

The party did not end
here as there was
another surprise in the
store for our lovely
bride-to-be. A
customised cake came
along from Ritu’s
friend with the
couples mini-me
figurine matching the
couple’s attire of the
engagement night.

A s described by
our little Tannu, it
was a big surprise
bachelorette party
for Ritu. Bride-tobe
arrived on time
and was bowled
over by the series
of surprises.
Everything was
planned as per
her likes starting
from the
decorations to
the delicious cake
by her best
friend Harshita.
The women in
black looked
drop-dead
gorgeous and
danced their
night away.

re-wedding
functions began and
Ritu couldn’t believe
that she was finally
marrying the love of
her life. Honestly,
any girl would feel
the same! Again, we
have our great
Ankit bhaiyya in the
picture making sure
everything goes
according to the
plan.

On
Ritu’s demand, the entire family wore yellow
for the ceremony because all wanted the brideto-be
happy for all the upcoming events. One
such incident was related to our Ankit bhaiyya
who is a camera shy person. The cunning
photographer succeeded in convincing Ankit
bhaiyya to click a picture with Ritu & mom.
Kids of the family &
Ritu’s friends added
another surprise to
the list by
contributing and
arranging the dhol
waalas for the event.
The dhol waalas
arrived in the morning
and all couldn’t help
but shake their legs to
the desi beats.

MEHENDI NIGHTS

S H
esi music, good food, and dance are the key
ingredients of any DJ night. Ritu and her siblings
had pre-rehearsed the dance and were to perform
on mehendi night, but Ritu couldn’t perform because
her hands were filled with mehendi.

But as we say the party must go on, he plugged in his
music devices and began playing the desi beats to
which none could retreat. Such were the tunes of
DJ Shadow that even the elders of the family could
resist but dance to the desi beats.
Surprise Surprise! Ankit bhaiyya was on the dance
floor the very first time & couldn’t stop dancing the
whole night.

C h hhhaaaaaaiiiii...
DJ Shadow wrapped up for the night, guests and family
members were tired. The house suddenly went from a fullnight
DJ house to pin-drop silence with guests chilling and
chatting for the night. Suddenly a voice echoed in the
house calling for “chaaaaaaaaiiiiii”. It was none other than
Ritu asking for her favourite beverage ‘chai’. It sounded
funny and weird at the same time which made the entire
house burst into laughter.
Psssttt!! Let us tell you a little secret. The girls feasted late
night without getting caught.

THE BIG D AY A RRIVED
G
uests began to arrive and the family started
decking up for the night. We had Ankit bhaiyya
carefully managing the guests and making them feel
comfortable for the night. Ankit bhaiyya’s friends
came in handy and helped him in managing the work
for the night.

The baraat arrived at 8.30 pm and as per the ritual,
Ankit bhaiyya carried the groom in his muscular arms
from the doorstep to the mandap.
Soon the bride
arrived at the
mandap and all the
rituals began. As the
vows were getting
recited by the pandit
waves of emotions
were visible in the
bride’s family.
Once they were
pronounced husband
& wife the crowd
cheered for them
throughout the night.
The very next moment the bride danced to her
heart's content along with her siblings.

Humne joote bhi chori kar liye woh bhi chaar jodi aur
paise bhi le liye. Yeah! The saalis successfully stole
the shoes and asked for a ransom of 50k jokingly & 11k
openly. This amount was flatly denied from the groom
and the poor little Tannu & Megha had to seal the deal
for 3.5k and a pair of suits for each. Sounds like a sweet
deal, isn't it?

Hours passed & it was
the morning time &
also the vidaai time.
Emotions came rushing
in as the beloved
daughter of the house
was about to leave
behind memories
forever.

As
she was walking towards the car, she kept weeping & held Ankit
bhaiyya’s hand firmly. The atmosphere turned jovial because Ankit
bhaiyya suddenly picked up Ritu in his arms & carried her all the way to
the car, making her laugh. At last, he made her sit in the car and
watched her embarking on her new journey from a distance.
