Whirlwind
School in 2021
Morning isn’t too far off.
No, no, not 6:30.
Oh no, not the time I hate.
Please let me sleep in late.
Quiet mom, the bus can wait.
Reducing sleep is the school’s goal.
So early it’s like the school’s a troll.
Tired is what I am right now.
Unfortunately, I have to live with it.
Very little is done outdoors, instead we’re indoors the whole day.
Room after room after room, there are regulations everywhere.
When school ends, it’s right to the homework.
Xylophones play in my head, distracting me, making me go berserk.
YEET! My brother yells, and I once again get distracted, but that’s the
life of a middle schooler during 2021, but we can live through it.
