Alumni Advisory Committee During 2004-05, the Alumni Advisory Committee met quarterly to discuss
the launch of new activities and benefits for the college’s more than 25,000 alumni.
Alumni Group Travel Program Alumni Affairs kicked off a new group travel program for alumni,
employees, and other friends of the college, with proceeds benefiting the Sinclair Alumni Association
Scholarship fund.
Short-Term Medical Insurance New graduates caught in the medical insurance gap between graduation
and their first job now have the option to purchase short-term medical insurance.
Career Fairs Approximately 35 alumni volunteered at the Career Services’ Career Exploration event
by providing testimonials and inspiration to current students seeking career information.
Special Events Alumni Affairs hosted its third annual Alumni Night at the Theatre at a Sinclair Theatre
Department’s performance of Glass Menagerie. Also hosted was the second annual Alumni Jazz Night,
with a special alumni reception prior to the performance. These events brought more than 100 alumni
and friends to campus this year.
The Alumni Association continued researching a linkage with the Sinclair Tartan Campus Store
to expand its retail merchandise offerings. In addition, they joined the Alumni Affairs office in the
launch of the new travel program and hosted its very successful Breakfast with Santa for Sinclair
alumni, family and friends. All proceeds from Alumni Association fundraising initiatives support
scholarships for Sinclair students.
