biggest musical inspiration
She truly appreciates early
2000s pop and R&B. Music and performing
give Imina purpose and strength in life and are
crucial to her prosperity. She is proud of
challenging herself to be in this year’s show and
working hard at all the rehearsals in
preparation. This COVID-19 pandemic taught
Imina to be her own best friend and appreciate
herself more. She is so excited to showcase her
talents at the show!
The soundtrack of her life includes the
songs Someday by Mariah Carey, Dirrty
by Christina Aguilera, Overprotected by
Britney Spears, Last Call by Kanye West,
and Tears Dry On Their Own by Amy
Winehouse.
Imina’s favorite food is buffalo wings
If given the chance, she wishes to meet
Anais from The Amazing World of
Gumball because she would love to be
her friend.
She would trade lives with Jeff Bezos to
close down Amazon and give their
workers new and more fulfilling jobs.
If a genie granted her 3 wishes, she
would wish for a guaranteed singing
career, a life-long best friend, and never
be rich.
Charli Coward is a 16-yearold
freshman at Dwight
Morrow High School. She
started performing in the 1st
grade, falling in love with pop,
R&B, and alternative music.
Her biggest inspirations are
Ariana Grande, Whitney
Houston, and Mariah Carey, all
for their passion and character.
Music is the first thing Charli
turns to when she feels low,
and it has given her the ability to calm herself and
find focus when she is stressed out. A few of her
inspiring accomplishments are all the chess
trophies she won and her ability to improve her
vocals by practicing. The pandemic has allowed
her to get back into singing after constantly being
told by her teachers in the past that she does not
have a good voice. From these hurdles, she learned
to love and be comfortable with her voice, and she
is so excited to showcase her fantastic talent
during this year’s show!
The soundtrack of her life includes In My
Head by Ariana Grande, My Future by
with no breaks at all.
Allie or Noah from The Notebook
because that movie is her all-time
favorite.
She would trade places with Ariana
Grande to see how it feels to have such
a fantastic voice.
If a genie granted Charli 3 wishes, she
would wish to cure all cancers, her
dream job of being a singer, and an
infinite amount of wishes.
Hannah Dubroff is an 18-year-old
senior at the Ramaz Upper School in
New York. She began her musical
journey at age 12 by taking voice
lessons and practicing professionally,
though she has loved performing her
whole life. After seeing her first
Broadway show at age 6, she knew
singing was what she wanted to
spend her life doing. She fell in love
with theater, pop, and classical music
genres and admired how music gave
her the outlet to express herself and
indeed be herself. Hannah's proudest
Hannah’s proudest moment in her music career was her
performance and victory at the Amateur Night at the Apollo
Theater. This performance was especially important because it
led her to begin her extensive research and advocacy for the
racial injustices within wrongful convictions. During the
COVID-19 pandemic, Hannah worked with her voice teacher,
Ms. Amelia DeMayo, and BergenPAC to create weekly
quarantine cabarets, for which she directed, hosted, wrote the
scripts, ran the technology for, and performed each week. The
profits from these events went to BergenPAC’s scholarship fund.
Hannah is so thrilled to be a part of this show!
Hannah will be attending Boston
University in the fall in a dual-degree
program for vocal performance and
political science, combining her two
passions!
music.
Her favorite food is pizza.
She can recite all the lyrics to every old
Disney movie song from memory.
Hannah would trade lives with Beyonce if
given the chance because she wants to
observe what a day as someone so
successful and accomplished would be like.
If a genie granted her 3 wishes, she would
wish for success throughout her life,
success upon her friends and family, and to
end global poverty.
Luis Figueroa is a 13-yearold
8th grader at Saint Joseph
Catholic School in Oradell, NJ.
He started performing at age
11, developing a love of pop,
disco, and especially salsa
music. His inspirations Bruno
Mars and Marc Anthony,
guided him to appreciate
music and performing. Music
is essential to Luis because
it inspired him to keep going and never give up.
One of his proudest accomplishments was
persevering through a beautiful performance of
singing one of his favorite salsa songs. During
the pandemic, Luis was able to harness
motivation to pursue endeavors outside of his
comfort zone. This proud Puerto Rican is so
excited to show off his salsa skills during the
show!
The soundtrack of his life would
and it warms her soul when
she can sing on stage! Shakira worked hard
also in her academic side, as she was able to get
onto the honor roll. This pandemic has given
Shakira a lot of time to self upon herself and
loves music and performing because they have
given him an outlet to express himself. His passion
and drive for music and drama have earned him
admission to one of the top schools for musical
performance, the American Musical and Dramatic
Academy, where he will be attending the fall. During
the pandemic, Joey grew more mature and calm as
he learned more about himself and gained new
perspectives on his life before COVID-19. He is so
excited to be a part of Englewood Idol this year!
The soundtrack of his life includes the
songs Burn from Hamilton, Simple Joys
wish for prosperity, communication, and
junior at Elmwood Park
Memorial High School. He
started performing at age 13 and
became very interested in R&B
and pop music. After hearing
that he was related to a famous
singer named Clyde McPhatter
and coming from a family of
talented performers, he realized
he wanted to be heard
worldwide for his talent. Music
and performing helped Jarrett
discover a new ability that he
never knew he had: writing lyrics. Creating his own
music gave him the medium to express his feelings
while having tons of fun. He is proud to announce that
two of his handwritten songs have had over 1,000
plays! This remarkable accomplishment is proof he has
the potential to have his music be played on car radios
someday. During the pandemic, Jarrett finally got the
chance to relax and spend more time writing new
music and even getting his first job. As he continues to
get his music onto all platforms, Jarrett is ecstatic to
have his music heard at Englewood Idol this year!

advice on never being nervous.
for a day to see how the lifestyle of a
successful artist is.
If a genie granted him 3 wishes, he
would wish for the ability to make a
hit song, have his music heard around
the world, and the ability to be more
energized on stage.

play piano, guitar, drums, and
electric bass from a young age.
She appreciates all music genres,
though she especially loves to
sing R&B Soul and HipHop. She
remembers naturally singing and
humming the tunes of the music
playing around her, which fueled
her love of singing. Music truly transformed her into the
best version of herself, and she knew her happiness derives
from singing and performing. One of Tiffany’s proudest
accomplishments was getting chosen to be on a college
dance team she is currently a part of. Being a member of
this dance team helped her feel more comfortable with
herself and helped to strengthen her dancing skills! During
the pandemic, she was able to find more comfort in herself
while building up her self-esteem tremendously. Intending
to build her confidence on stage, Tiffany is excited to
Phineas and Ferb because she loves their
positivity and exciting adventures.
She would trade places with KENZIE, a
Korean producer, because she aspires to
pursue exactly what KENZIE does
professionally.
If granted 3 wishes by a genie, Tiffany
would wish for her family never to be hurt
or sick, for the COVID-19 pandemic to
vanish, and to maintain a strong
relationship with her brother in the future

most proud accomplishments is winning the
a Demigod.
If she could trade places with
anyone, it would be Billie Eilish, so
she can see how it is like to be a
celebrity.
If a genie grants her 3 wishes, she
says she has everything she needs
right now and would only ask for
more money to pay for college.
