Emergency Support
Services need
volunteers
The Regional District of Central
Kootenay (RDCK) is currently seeking
volunteers to join our Emergency Support
Services (ESS) team to help others
during emergencies.
In emergencies, ESS supports the people
impacted in many ways. First and
foremost, you may be able to offer a
friendly ear to comfort someone who has
just had to evacuate their home. Then
we help with practical considerations like
coordinating accommodations, meals
and other supports based on the people’s
needs. It is tremendously rewarding, and
a great way to give back to your community.
It can even be fun!
Full training will be provided. If you
are interested, or if you need more information,
please contact Jon Jackson at
jjackson@rdck.bc.ca RDCK
