7. Scan to BIM

Existing Condition Capture with 3D Laser

Scanning

BIM modeling aims to successfully document the general

present building state while ensuring the highest level of

detail. The 3D laser scanner will produce a Point Cloud

3D model in order to be post-processed and construct a

complete architectural building. The Point Cloud model

will consist of all graphic documentation (plans, sections,

elevations, building survey) needed to render the building.

Geotags is one of the most important features in this platform.

Geotags Features include:

• Creating links with reality capture data, files, URLs, and link external database

systems. Integrating within external AM/FM software applications.

• Review and edit existing Geotags from Cyclone Register 360 or Cyclone Field 360

which enables on-site tagging of the measurements, videos, images, text, and/or voice

files to the Point Cloud via tablet.

• On-site tagging is retained in data collection to downstream consumption in TruView.
