The drug store, open for about<br />
three and a half years now at<br />
4934 50th Street (Main Street) in<br />
Stettler, is a warm, welcoming<br />
place and that’s the goal owner/<br />
operators Amer Sharaf, pharmacist,<br />
and Wendy Bignell,<br />
assistant pharmacist, have in<br />
mind.<br />
Bignell said the IDA has a full<br />
front store with plenty of retail<br />
options for customers but the<br />
real goal at the pharmacy is compassionate<br />
patient care. “We care<br />
about our people,” said Bignell.<br />
“That is what we do.”<br />
Bignell said the newly renovated<br />
pharmacy has the warm,<br />
welcoming feel she knows clients<br />
appreciate, which Sharaf agreed<br />
with. “We try to make it a family<br />
environment as much as possible,”<br />
said the pharmacist.<br />
Bignell stated she and Sharaf<br />
enjoy answering questions and<br />
sharing their extensive knowledge<br />
about health and<br />
prescriptions with their clients,<br />
and they always have time to<br />
spend with clients who want to<br />
learn more about their options.<br />
Sharaf stated he’s noticed<br />
people are becoming more and<br />
more aware of the knowledge<br />
and expertise of their hometown<br />
pharmacists.<br />
Sharaf also pointed out<br />
Stettler IDA Pharmacy can<br />
answer COVID-19 questions over<br />
the phone, including an over-thephone<br />
COVID-19 symptoms<br />
assessment.<br />
