TWILIGHT ZONE LITTLE BLUESTEM<br />
A stand-out among Little Bluestems for its iridescent,<br />
silvery mauve shades in midsummer. Pastel<br />
tones intensify in fall and bright purple highlights<br />
appear. About half as wide as it is tall; it has a<br />
full, upright columnar shape. Thrives in full sun<br />
and well-drained soils. Use it in tough, dry spots<br />
for a gorgeous solution to problem sites. A strong<br />
performer in Southern gardens. Introduced by<br />
Walters Gardens, Inc., Zeeland, MI.<br />

Native sedge found throughout much <strong>of</strong> North<br />
America in marshes, meadows, and swamps.<br />
Grows readily in wet soil, full sun or light shade;<br />
adaptable to regular garden soil and tolerates<br />
occasional dry stretches. Useful for stormwater<br />
projects, in low wet areas, ditches, and pond<br />
edges. Named for its numerous little spikelets<br />
that appear to be covered with wool.<br />

shade, average-wet, flowers midsummer, Zones 4-9,<br />

AUTUMN MOOR GRASS<br />
This clumping, cool-season grass is a fantastic<br />
filler, matrix plant, and ground cover. The tuft<br />
<strong>of</strong> yellowish-green foliage emerges in spring; in<br />
midsummer narrow stems emerge and hover<br />
above with silvery-white inflorescences. Good<br />
looking, uncomplicated, and robust. Reasonably<br />
drought tolerant. Fits the need for a small,<br />
congenial grass in full sun to part shade. Best<br />
shipped by mid-June.<br />
