NewPlayFest 2020<br />

World Premiere Productions Open<br />

In March of 2020, AACT NewPlayFest was four shows<br />

in<strong>to</strong> its six-show performance cycle, with successful productions<br />

at Boise Little Theatre in Idaho (Casserole, by Pam Harbaugh),<br />

TacomaLittle Theatre in Washing<strong>to</strong>n (Shattering, by Pat<br />

Montley), <strong>the</strong> Sauk Theatre in Michigan (On Pine Knoll Street,<br />

by Mark Cornell), and <strong>the</strong> Manatee Performing Arts Center<br />

in Florida (Goat Song Revel, by Dan Borengasser). Then,<br />

COVID-19 halted everything.<br />

AACT is pleased <strong>to</strong> announce <strong>the</strong> two postponed<br />

productions are being produced after a lengthy postponement.<br />

The world premiere of Proprioception,<br />

by Marilyn Mills<strong>to</strong>ne<br />

will be produced by Rover<br />

Dramawerks. Performances will<br />

be held <strong>September</strong> 10–18, 2021,<br />

at <strong>the</strong> Cox Playhouse in Plano,<br />

Texas.<br />

The world premiere of The Cayuga Canal Girls, by Laura<br />

King, will be produced at Phoenix Theatre, in Oakville,<br />

Connecticut, Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 2–16, 2021.<br />
