Series Forecast

Through deep personal

relationships within

green-tech and the

environmentally focused

industry, contingency

planet dives into the

innovation machine with

a personality and content

driven approach where

we learn going green

isn’t a setback, but a

profitable advantage

(and sometimes

delicious).

ep01 Airplanes are one of the biggest

contributors to global warming but California’s

aviation innovators are out to correct the

problem with battery powered aircraft that’s

completly carbon neutral. Then for a snack,

Josh also meets with Atlas Monroe, who,

despite “losing” their 1 million dollar

investment on Shark Tank are now set to

become the biggest manufacturer of

environmentally friendly Fried Chicken in the

world. And finally, innovators demonstrate

how they use recycled cellphones to halt illegal

logging in our protected rainforests.

ep04 New England capitalizes on storm

season with bladeless, typhoon-proof storm

turbines that can generate enough clean

electricity to power NYC for a year. A young

designer demonstrates the versatility and

beauty of Banana, Cacti, Kombucha, &

Pineapple leathers over resource-intensive

animal-based hydes. And finally, Parisian

cuisine is known for being rich in cream

and eggs, but why is this French Patisserie

and Fromagerie making delicious croissants

and cheeses without animal products?

ep05 Josh heads to one of the most

progressive places in the world to visit the

world’s first & largest cultured meat

bioreactor that can feed 10,000 people

animal protein with 90% less resources than

conventional animal agriculture, while

leading environmental engineers demonstrate

how they’re able to combat drought with a

machine that pulls water out of thin air. Then

Josh explores the world’s first fuel-cell

powered freight train who’s only exhaust is

nothing but pure H20.

ep02 Josh visits the Pacific Garbage Patch

to meet with Ocean Clean Up’s high-tech &

fully solar-powered vessel that’s designed

to target ocean pollution like never before.

Then Josh enjoys a drink with the brilliant

minds sucking C02 rich industrial exhaust

out of the air and converting it into

protein-rich animal feed and delicious

vodka. And finally, space rockets are no

longer disposable thanks to these 3Dprinted

and fully recyclable rocket ships, a

first of it’s kind undercutting the industry

standard.

ep03 Imagine driving on roads made of

solar panels that also charge your car at

the same. Well it’s a reality in New York

where Josh also meets with Atlas Foods to

explore their mushroom bacon that has

taken social media by storm. And finally

LEED Certified NYC Green Architects

demonstrate the breath taking beauty and

C02-absorbing potential of the big apple’s

green living walls.

ep06 Can we expedite restoration

of our coral reefs by joining forces

with a unique oil-spill-eating

microbe? Josh also meets with the

creators of a fully biodegradable

leather-like product made of fine

mycelium (mushroom roots), and

finally, meets with the mayor of NYC

to understand why Humpback

whales are making a return to NYC’s

Hudson River after a century.

ep07 The future of America’s classic

cars is bright as this company

upcycles them in the most

unsuspecting way. Josh visits

California’s controversial Hemp crops

to learn how this plant is feeding

millions of people with a twist on a

conventional American staple. Finally

a state of the art beach cleaning

robot collects discarded fishing nets

and repurposes them into sustainable

carpet loom diverting 300 tons of

waste annually.
