techniques
Open surgery or laparoscopy is mainly used to repair Hernia. These techniques are used based
on variables like size and location of the hernia, age and health of patients.
Open Surgery: An Incision is made near the hernia by the surgeon that helps in returning the
bulging tissue back into the body. The muscle which is weakened that caused the hernia to occur
in the first place is stitched back together or patched with a synthetic material called mesh.

techniques
Laparoscopic Surgery: For allowing the insertion of thin surgical tools multiple tiny incisions
are made around the hernia. One of the tools is inserted with a camera helping the surgeon
with images projected on a TV screen. Then the tools helps to repair the hernia in the same
process as with open surgery.
6
Contradiction
For undergoing Hernia repair surgery there are no specific
contraindications. Relative circumstances under which patients have to
do addition preparation before undergoing any surgery process
includes:
Bleeding disorder , Obesity , Current tobacco user , History of Blood Clots.
7
Recovery
Period for recovery from hernia repair surgery is
about one week for laparoscopic surgery and three
weeks for open repair surgery probably.

conclusion
As hernia can not heal or resolve on their own, the main benefit of surgery is that it helps in
treatment definitively. This concludes that after your surgery gets recovered , you will be able to
return to your normal routine and daily life without any pain, discomfort.
But still in some cases, few patients develop chronic, usually nerve-related pain after hernia
repair.
