Ask each family member to share:
1) Is <strong>the</strong>re room for Jesus in your
thoughts, dreams, calendar, schedule,
bank account, home?
2) What could you do if Jesus came to visit
your house?
3) What would you show Jesus in your house?
4) What food would you serve Jesus?
Make a knocking sound on a
table, and lead children in
saying, “Come in, Jesus!
There’s room for You in our
heart…mind…home…day…
etc.” Repeat <strong>the</strong> activity
several times.
• God’s heart has room for everyone. How
do you decide what kind of people to
accept and what kind to reject?
• Have you ever been rejected/left out?
What did it feel like?
• Ask your mom or dad about how <strong>the</strong>y
welcomed/became friends with someone
<strong>the</strong>y thought was very different or
unpleasant.
• Is <strong>the</strong>re someone you have a hard time
accepting or getting along with? Pray and
ask God to help you see that person like
Jesus does.
• Think of someone in school who no one
seems to like. What can you do to welcome
that person and make <strong>the</strong>m feel special?
The first person says, "I'm taking a trip
and I am going to pack... " and <strong>the</strong>n fills
in <strong>the</strong> rest of <strong>the</strong> sentence.
It could be a piece of clothing or
a toy or a person or whatever
<strong>the</strong>y choose.
Each person <strong>the</strong>n repeats
what <strong>the</strong> last person said,
and adds <strong>the</strong>ir own
selection to <strong>the</strong> end
and so on.
