Some of the Motions moved by Women in Parliament:Over the years women in Botswana Parliament have rarely moved motions, mainly because of thePositions they hold once in Parliament. Almost 100% of women that have ever been in Parliament since1974 have been appointed to cabinet as Minister or Assistant Minister and this has not afforded most ofthem an opportunity to interrogate a wide variety of issues of national interest. There are however a fewwomen who have used the opportunity as ordinary MPs to move motions.
