Good Morning, Second Letter With Local Stats<br />
This is Wendy Thomas again, with Matthew's Voice. I have been<br />
doing some research over the weekend and wanted to share some<br />
statistics with you. In 2019 14% of high school kids in NC admitted<br />
to trying prescription drugs, The DEA has determined 1 in 4 of fake<br />
pills is lethal. Based on an enrollment of 1,132 students, 158 students<br />
would try counterfeit prescription pills and 40 of those students<br />
would take a pill that would kill them. This is alarming and our<br />
students need to be educated on fentanyl and counterfeit<br />
prescription pills. Thanks for your time and I look forward to<br />
