We believe that the
local church is best
placed to offer a ‘homeaway-from-home’
for
the young people who
need one most. And
the need has never
been greater. On one
hand, young people are
facing unprecedented
challenges, with poor
mental health on the
rise and increased
concerns about the
impact of gangs, county
lines, exploitation, and
exposure to various
kinds of harm online.
On the other hand,
youth services are
on the edge of a cliff,
having been cut by
73% since 2010. 6 Never
has there been such
an opportunity for the
Church to open its
doors to those young
people who are most
‘at risk’ and in need of
the hope that only the
Church can offer.
