My Brightest diamond, aka experimental-pop sensation<br />

Shara worden, presents her third and best album all things<br />

will unwind as an exclusive concert in the opera theatre. a<br />

critically acclaimed artist who stretches the limits of what is<br />

capable in pop music, Shara has been called ‘the voice of her<br />

generation’. this detroit-born singer/composer will be creating<br />

an unparalleled musical experience for Vivid LiVe.<br />

4. efterKLang & <strong>SYdneY</strong> SYMPhonY<br />

for over a decade this respected danish band has built a<br />

strong reputation for their immense live arrangements that<br />

use multiple musicians <strong>to</strong> enhance the nature of their work.<br />

an exclusive Vivid LiVe commission, efterklang will integrate<br />

with Sydney Symphony, conducted by Matthew Coorey, and<br />

mark a new beginning for the band as they premiere their<br />

fourth still-<strong>to</strong>-be-released album, Piramida.<br />

5. Shut uP and PLaY the hitS<br />

this is an inspiring film that captures the week before, the day<br />

after and the occasion of LCd Soundsystem’s Madison Square<br />

garden farewell Concert – marking the end of James Murphy’s<br />

10-year journey. this vibrant in-the-moment film was an official<br />

selection at the Sundance film festival, Shut uP and PLaY<br />

fBi radio and Penny drop present a show that walks on the<br />

darker side of indie rock featuring the australian debuts<br />

of both Zola Jesus and Light asylum, stars of a genre that<br />

mixes gothic, operatic tendencies with a post-punk aesthetic.<br />

rage – celebrating 25 years on aBC tV<br />

for the last 25 years aBC tV’s rage has been everyone’s favourite<br />

all night video mix tape. with exclusive guest programming and<br />

rare clips drawn from the station’s extensive music archives, there<br />

are few music programs in the world as important as rage. So it’s<br />

exciting <strong>to</strong> announce a huge exhibition <strong>to</strong> be held at Carriageworks,<br />

celebrating this institution of late night rock ‘n’ roll tV!<br />

• aPra Song Summit 2012, will see some of the world’s best<br />

songwriters including neil finn, imogen heap and legendary<br />

• CeBit australia is australasia’s number one business<br />

technology event attracting the largest gathering of corporate<br />
