light art sculptures and installations, illuminated
skyscrapers and large scale projections on show for
this must-see winter event when Sydney shows off
her true magical colours. Come and join in on the fun!
Colour Cubed
Children and adults alike will love the interactive Colour Cubed,
it’s a real hands-on experience. You can rotate the cube by hand
to move the striking array of geometric productions. Marvel
at how just one light globe can fill the surrounding trees and
buildings of Campbells Cove with changing colours, patterns and
shapes. Bring a camera, this spectacle is guaranteed to amaze.
Follow the Current
the interactivity continues with follow the Current. have fun
following a school of moving anglerfish light sculptures that
weave through crowds with their silent, eerie glow. Look out for
these luminescent fish beacons with gleaming teeth, colourful
dorsal fins and glowing scales at the rocks and east Circular
Quay promenade. these fish out of water are all generated by
pedal power.
Cadman’s Cottage
interact and have fun with australian Bureau of Statistics
Census data as it’s projected onto Cadman’s Cottage, one of
the oldest surviving buildings in australia. find out first-hand
what Census data really tells us about australia and ourselves –
where we come from, what we do, how we live, how many of us
there are and most importantly, what we need.
World’s Largest Torch
those who love to steal the limelight will be impressed by the
extraordinary world’s Largest torch by Led Lenser. Be prepared
for the spotlight to be shone on you, and be sure to tell your
paparazzi friends and family to have their cameras at the ready
for your red carpet moment. Led Lenser is listed by guinness
world records as having the world’s Largest torch.
