At our Science Cafe each
speaker has a quarter of an
hour to talk, then you, the
audience, take over. Whether
you want to grill a speaker
about generalities or pose a
particular problem, the floor
is yours to ask questions. Our
Cafe is just the place to sample
some new science presented
by those locally working on it –
and something from the bar!.

Show of Hands and Albion
Band stalwart Phil is returning
to Otley, this time with his own
solo show. While live shows
were off limits, he was busily
engaged finishing many
recordings which will make up
a definitive box set of songs
and music encapsulating
everything he does or has
done over the past 40 years.
There will be archive material
as well as copious new songs,
all wrapped up inone mesmeric
package.
Phil’s solo shows in 2022 will
be the last time he undertakes
such a large number of
performances, so don’t miss
the opportunity to see Phil
and hear many of the fantastic
songs he has written. Very old
songs, very new songs. So
much to choose from after all
this time.

WISTERIA SAX
QUARTET
The wisteria quartet is a
saxophone quartet created
in Cardiff at the Royal Welsh
College of Music, where the
original members all graduated
from. As a quartet they love
to play a wide range of styles
of music, from baroque and
classical through to jazz.
The quartet is also enjoying
playing new works written for
them, or by them, as arranging
and composing is one thing
all members of the quartet
enjoy doing. The quartet are
currently looking to build their
group in and around West
Yorkshire and are looking
forward to putting on concerts
in the coming months.
