Sex. Power. Cruelty. Deceit.
Two bored aristocrats spin
a web of heartbreak in 18th
century France. It may seem
like a game, but lives will be
ruined and love irrevocably
lost.
Northern Ballet’s bodiceripping
retelling of Dangerous
Liaisons is performed and
filmed by their incredible
dancers in a cinema first that
pulls you into their stage.
Set to Vivaldi’s The Four
Seasons, you’ll feel every
heartbeat of this scintillatingly
scandalous ballet.

MARTYN
JOSEPH
Martyn Joseph is a completely
unique and mind-blowing
artist. Take everything you
think you know about singer
songwriters….and rip it up.
For one man and a guitar he
creates a performance with
a huge far-reaching sound
that is energetic, compelling
and passionate. Be it to two
hundred people or twenty
thousand, he blows the crowd
away night after night.
2021 saw Martyn release a
brand-new studio album with
songs of both insightful
observation about our times
alongside poignant, more
personal reflections.
Compared to Bruce
Springsteen, John Mayer,
Bruce Cockburn and Dave
Matthews, he has created his
own style and reputation as a
mesmerising live performer
and stands in his own right,
built on a reputation for
giving what thousands have
described as the best live
music experience of their lives.
Martyn is an unmissable solo
performer so, it is with great
pleasure that we welcome him
back to the Courthouse.

DAVID FORD
David Ford began his music
career as the frontman
of punk/pop/rock band
Easyworld, releasing two
albums before leaving to
pursue a solo career. Five
critically acclaimed albums
later he has carved out his own
unique niche in the modern
musical landscape. Now
working as an independent
artist, David Ford has built his
audience on the strength of his
material and an ever-changing,
innovative live show.
As well as playing sold-out
headline shows on both sides
of the Atlantic, David has
toured with artists such as
Elvis Costello, Allen Toussaint,
Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann,
Gomez, Aqualung, Richard
Ashcroft, Suzanne Vega, Ingrid
Michaelson and Jakob Dylan.
It is as a songwriter that David
Ford is held in the highest
regard though. His masterful
compositions have helped
cultivate a passionate, devoted
fan base which exists almost
like a secret society. This is the
perfect opportunity to join up.
Support comes from Annie
Dressner.
