About Ohio Northern University
Established in 1871, Ohio Northern University is a private, competitive,
comprehensive University offering nationally ranked academic
programs in the liberal arts and professional programs to students in its
five colleges: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering,
Pharmacy and Law.
At the turn of the 20th century, Ohio Northern University became
affiliated with the United Methodist Church. While no longer owned and
operated by the UMC, the University continues to cherish this heritage by
welcoming, serving and supporting students of all faiths.
Located in Northwest Ohio in the village of Ada (population 5,000),
Ohio Northern is about 90 minutes or less from major cities such as
Toledo, Columbus and Dayton. The friendly, safe, beautiful and modern
campus has nearly 300 acres with 31 major buildings including the Mathile
Center for the Natural Sciences with 95,000 square-feet of modern
classrooms and laboratory space. The Inn at Ohio Northern University is
on campus and offers deluxe accommodations, fine dining and meeting
space.

Getty College of Arts and Sciences
The college offers more than 50 majors that provide excellent preparation
for careers or advanced training. Students have the opportunity
for experiential learning, study abroad and research and are taught and
mentored by engaging, award winning professors. For five consecutive
years the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and the Excellence in Education
Foundation have honored ONU.
The James F. Dicke College of
Business Administration
The internationally accredited (AACSB) College of Business
Administration rigorously trains business majors and creates tomorrow’s
entrepreneurial, ethical and engaged leaders. Students have opportunities
for experiential learning with both international and national internships,
and global study.
Smull College of Engineering
ONU’s College of Engineering is ranked as one of the nation’s top
50 undergraduate engineering schools in U.S. News & World Report,
America’s Best Colleges 2009. The college has a commitment to
undergraduate education through personalized instruction coupled with
outstanding facilities. Students have opportunities for valuable work
experience through the co-op, internship and Engineer-in-Residence
programs.

For 125 years, the College of Pharmacy has trained the nation’s
most talented and service minded pharmacists. It is the only school in the
nation to offer professional pharmacy courses from day one of its nationally
ranked 0-6 direct-entry program. Students graduate with a doctor of
pharmacy degree and have a 100% placement rate.
Pettit College of Law
ONU’s truly talented, world-class law faculty believes personalized
instruction is the best way to cultivate students’ passion for legal excellence.
Students come from all over the country and the world to study law
and go on to be judges, senators and attorneys. The college enrolls more
than 320 students and offers full-time juris doctor degree program and an
LL.M program in democratic governance and the rule of law.
