Tradition and
cultural history
The district of Fürstenfeldbruck can
look back on an eventful history
dating back to the high-medieval
period. The Jexhof Farm Museum
and the Furthmühle Egenhofen give
fascinating insights into the rural
living conditions and traditional
crafts around the year 1900. Guests
are shown the original interior of
the house or the technology behind
a flour mill, for example. Both
museums also offer special tours,
promotions and events. In the
former abbey brewery, today you
can find the Museum Fürstenfeldbruck.
Here, historical evidence of
the abbey, the city and the Romans,
Celts and Stone Age people is
preserved. Except for the archaeological
department on the 3rd floor,
all rooms can be accessed by
wheelchair or similar.

Forest experience and
culinary delights
Wherever you are in the district of
Fürstenfeldbruck, you are
surrounded by green hilly landscapes,
enchanting Amper river
meadows or nature and landscape
conservation areas. Visitors to the
Grafrath experimental forest garden
can see more than 200 exotic tree
species from various continents.
Originally, this area was used to
research which foreign plants could
be used for local forestry. Now
people with disabilities or families
can also embark on a “world tour”
through the forest. After the visit,
the nearby Bürgerstadl Grafrath
offers the opportunity to sample the
local gastronomy.

The Fürstenfeldbrucker Land offers
guests in the barrier-free
Stadthalle Germering as well as in
the Puchheimer Kulturcentrum
PUC a varied range of concerts,
cabaret, theatre and dance performances
as well as operas and
musicals throughout the year.

In summer, the Germeringer See
invites visitors to linger with its wide
sunbathing area, large shallow
water zone and several barbecue
areas. People with disabilities can
use the entry aid on the east bank.
The feel-good atmosphere is
complemented by accommodation
such as the Abasto Hotel & Spa,
seidl Hotel & Conference or the
Hotel LICHTBLICK. The latter is the
first hotel to have been additionally
awarded the European RAL barrierfree
quality label.
