A very versatile performer,
Emily Roman is 16 years old
and has been a working
actress, competitive dancer
and influencer for 10 years in
Toronto, Canada. Credits include
principal roles on The Next Step
(NBC Universal Kids/CBBC/ABC/
Family Channel), Anne with an E
(Netflix/CBC), and Feel The Beat
(Netflix) along with several TV
commercials and print ads. Emily
was recently nominated for two
Joey Awards - Best Performer
in a Music Video (I’m a Mess/
Bebe Rexha) and Best Performer
in a TV Series. From a young
age, Emily has had a strong
passion for performing both live
and on camera! She also just
completed a mini-residency
with Rudy Abreu’s Embodiment
x RAdiance, her first full-length
feature show, The Overthinker,
which received rave reviews.
Dance has always been Emily’s
first passion, something she
holds close to her heart. Since a
young age she has accumulated
several top finishes including
national champion titles at
Showstopper, The One, and 2 x
Top 10 and 1 Top 20 placement
at The Dance Awards, along
with several first place finishes
at Jump, Nuvo, and Blake
McGrath’s VIP Dance Event.
Emily is also a World ShowDance
Championship podium finisher
receiving the bronze medal
in Germany. She trains with
Canadian Dance Company under
the direction of Allain Lupien.
In her spare time, Emily hangs
with friends, her sister Kate,
and her golden retriever Oakley.
She loves music, singing and
playing guitar, fashion and food,
and plays flag football at school.
Travel is another favourite activity
having spent more time across
the US over the past few years;
she is eager to discover more of
the world on future adventures
starting with a bit of Europe this
summer. Emily is thrilled to be
a part of this elite group of C5

to an amazing year celebrating
successes with all of them!
