Ride impressions:<br />
Gerotek is cool for a story like this – we were pointed in the<br />
direction of the concrete hills, into the s<strong>and</strong>y test track <strong>and</strong><br />
then onto the drag strip. From there it was the very cool 4x4<br />
track where we put the quads through their paces in “real<br />
world” terrain. It’s been a long time since a launch like this has<br />
happened – <strong>and</strong> our lot were very impressed by the quads.<br />
They made mincemeat of the 27 degree climbs – even in 2wd<br />
with a bit of a run up. Towards the top of the climbs the power<br />
tapers off, but we did not experience any slipping belts or similar.<br />
4wd low range <strong>and</strong> high range – as expected was really easy.<br />
The adaptive EPS is something cool, <strong>and</strong> whether you ride with<br />
it engaged or not, the quads h<strong>and</strong>le great. Completely switched<br />
off, the steering is quite heavy – so just leave it on.<br />
They buried the bikes in the s<strong>and</strong>pit <strong>and</strong> asked us to climb out,<br />
both quads performed admirably… We even buried one further<br />
<strong>and</strong> proceeded to drag it out with the st<strong>and</strong>ard winch. It’s a cool<br />
feature. You’ll need to try hard to get properly stuck!<br />
On the top end runs, the quads feel solid <strong>and</strong> stable – <strong>and</strong> they<br />
are quick. We’d probably govern them if we were to h<strong>and</strong> one to<br />
a farm worker.<br />
The four wheel drive track was – well easy. The Agricultural unit<br />
is like a big couch – less sporty – <strong>and</strong> even with the big bin out<br />
back, it’s quite nimble <strong>and</strong> easy to maneuver. But the sporty one<br />
was a lot more fun… Big traction, soft, forgiving suspension <strong>and</strong><br />
excellent ground clearance.<br />
They do exactly what they are meant to with a quality feel.<br />
