The <strong>Corpus</strong> <strong>Christi</strong> Coast boasts some of the most stunning<br />

stretches of waterfront you could hope to find. Experience the<br />

wonderful deep blue water, sun-drenched s<strong>and</strong>, <strong>and</strong> a great climate<br />

nearly year-round. With more than 65 miles of beaches, there is a<br />

beach for every personality.<br />

Gulf <strong>Beach</strong>es<br />

Mustang Isl<strong>and</strong> State Park<br />

Off of TX Hwy 361<br />

Families enjoy a serene environment<br />

at Mustang Isl<strong>and</strong> State Park. Fishing,<br />

camping, bonfires <strong>and</strong> birding are popular<br />

at this State Park. Electrical <strong>and</strong> water<br />

hookups, picnic tables <strong>and</strong> barbecue<br />

grills; restrooms <strong>and</strong> shower facilities are<br />

also available.<br />

North Packery Jetty<br />

Off of TX Hwy 361,<br />

near Access Road 3A-1<br />

Known as a hot surf spot <strong>and</strong> popular<br />

kiteboarding area, outdoor enthusiasts<br />

enjoy volleyball, socializing, <strong>and</strong> barbecue<br />

gatherings here. <strong>Visitors</strong> are drawn<br />

to J.P. Luby not only to catch a wave, but<br />

also to cast a line for that big catch in the<br />

surf or off the newly formed jetties of<br />

Packery Channel.<br />

Packery Channel<br />

Off of TX HWY 361<br />

Packery Channel, located on Upper Padre<br />

Isl<strong>and</strong>, is a hot spot for fishing, surfing<br />

<strong>and</strong> birding. The channel serves as a fresh<br />

waterway for the Laguna Madre <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>Corpus</strong> <strong>Christi</strong> <strong>Bay</strong>. Fishermen often report<br />

turtle sightings in the channel.<br />

South Packery Jetty <strong>Beach</strong><br />

Access off Windward Drive<br />

This family friendly beach is less crowded<br />

<strong>and</strong> perfect for children, <strong>and</strong> the jetties<br />

provide great fishing, surfing, windsurfing<br />

<strong>and</strong> kiteboarding. This beach caters<br />

to both the family experience <strong>and</strong> the<br />

popular beach pastime.<br />

Upper Padre Isl<strong>and</strong> Seawall<br />

Access off Windward Drive<br />

The Upper Padre Isl<strong>and</strong> Seawall makes<br />

a great spot for walking, cycling,<br />

rollerblading, plus much more. The view<br />

is breathtaking . . . stroll the one-mile<br />

long Seawall, <strong>and</strong> gaze at the beauty of<br />

the Gulf of Mexico. Short boarders are<br />

often spotted riding the waves at this<br />

popular beach.<br />

Padre Isl<strong>and</strong> National Seashore<br />

Padre Isl<strong>and</strong> National Seashore consists<br />

of more than 130 thous<strong>and</strong> acres of<br />

undeveloped dunes, grassl<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong><br />

pristine, natural, s<strong>and</strong>y beaches. PINS, as<br />

called by locals, is the longest stretch of<br />

undeveloped barrier isl<strong>and</strong> in the entire<br />

world! Home to the nesting Kemp’s ridley<br />

sea turtle each spring <strong>and</strong> summer…<br />

This stretch of beach represents Mother<br />

Nature at her best! It is perfect for the<br />

nature enthusiast.<br />

Padre Balli Park/<br />

Bob Hall Pier<br />

Bob Hall Pier is an ideal<br />

family friendly beach spot<br />

with a parking area, carfree<br />

zone <strong>and</strong> convenient<br />

picnic tables. The location,<br />

water depth, <strong>and</strong> abundance<br />

of fish species at Bob Hall Pier<br />

can make for an outst<strong>and</strong>ing<br />

fishing experience. The<br />

pier also makes this beach a<br />

popular surf spot as well. Surfers enjoy<br />

riding the waves at this park or a bonfire<br />

on the beach. Campsites with all the<br />

amenities—picnic tables, cabanas, <strong>and</strong> a<br />

bath house for visitor convenience.<br />

Whitecap <strong>Beach</strong><br />

From Park Road 22, turn East<br />

onto White Cap Blvd.<br />

A local favorite, Whitecap <strong>Beach</strong> is the<br />

perfect beach area to enjoy a sunset on a<br />

beach blanket or the sunrise with a cup of<br />

coffee. This beach is often sparsely populated<br />

<strong>and</strong> very rarely has a crowd. Perfect<br />

place if you are in the mood to escape.<br />

<strong>Corpus</strong> <strong>Christi</strong> <strong>Beach</strong><br />

TX-35/ US-181, CC <strong>Beach</strong> exit<br />

Known for its calm waters, <strong>Corpus</strong> <strong>Christi</strong><br />

<strong>Beach</strong> is the ideal beach for swimmers<br />

<strong>and</strong> children. Its northern stretch remains<br />

primitive <strong>and</strong> is a great, quiet place for a<br />

jog, a stroll through nature or a pleasant<br />

dog-walk. Enjoy the views of the nearby<br />

McGee <strong>Beach</strong><br />

Because of its location along the <strong>Corpus</strong><br />

<strong>Christi</strong> <strong>Bay</strong>, the calm water is virtually free<br />

of seaweed making this beach perfect for<br />

children. Concession st<strong>and</strong>/restaurant/<br />

rentals available; bring along a fishing<br />

rod <strong>and</strong> bait for fishing from the jetties.<br />
