The Corpus Christi Coast boasts some of the most stunning
stretches of waterfront you could hope to find. Experience the
wonderful deep blue water, sun-drenched sand, and a great climate
nearly year-round. With more than 65 miles of beaches, there is a
beach for every personality.
Gulf Beaches
Mustang Island State Park
Off of TX Hwy 361
Families enjoy a serene environment
at Mustang Island State Park. Fishing,
camping, bonfires and birding are popular
at this State Park. Electrical and water
hookups, picnic tables and barbecue
grills; restrooms and shower facilities are
also available.
J.P. Luby Surf Park/
North Packery Jetty
Off of TX Hwy 361,
near Access Road 3A-1
Known as a hot surf spot and popular
kiteboarding area, outdoor enthusiasts
enjoy volleyball, socializing, and barbecue
gatherings here. Visitors are drawn
to J.P. Luby not only to catch a wave, but
also to cast a line for that big catch in the
surf or off the newly formed jetties of
Packery Channel.
Packery Channel
Off of TX HWY 361
Packery Channel, located on Upper Padre
Island, is a hot spot for fishing, surfing
and birding. The channel serves as a fresh
waterway for the Laguna Madre and
Corpus Christi Bay. Fishermen often report
turtle sightings in the channel.
South Packery Jetty Beach
Access off Windward Drive
This family friendly beach is less crowded
and perfect for children, and the jetties
provide great fishing, surfing, windsurfing
and kiteboarding. This beach caters
to both the family experience and the
popular beach pastime.
Upper Padre Island Seawall
Access off Windward Drive
The Upper Padre Island Seawall makes
a great spot for walking, cycling,
rollerblading, plus much more. The view
is breathtaking . . . stroll the one-mile
long Seawall, and gaze at the beauty of
the Gulf of Mexico. Short boarders are
often spotted riding the waves at this
popular beach.
Padre Island National Seashore

Padre Island National Seashore consists
of more than 130 thousand acres of
undeveloped dunes, grasslands and
pristine, natural, sandy beaches. PINS, as
called by locals, is the longest stretch of
undeveloped barrier island in the entire
world! Home to the nesting Kemp’s ridley
sea turtle each spring and summer…
This stretch of beach represents Mother
Nature at her best! It is perfect for the
nature enthusiast.
Padre Balli Park/
Bob Hall Pier

Bob Hall Pier is an ideal
family friendly beach spot
with a parking area, carfree
zone and convenient
picnic tables. The location,
water depth, and abundance
of fish species at Bob Hall Pier
can make for an outstanding
fishing experience. The
pier also makes this beach a
popular surf spot as well. Surfers enjoy
riding the waves at this park or a bonfire
on the beach. Campsites with all the
amenities—picnic tables, cabanas, and a
bath house for visitor convenience.
Whitecap Beach
From Park Road 22, turn East
onto White Cap Blvd.
A local favorite, Whitecap Beach is the
perfect beach area to enjoy a sunset on a
beach blanket or the sunrise with a cup of
coffee. This beach is often sparsely populated
and very rarely has a crowd. Perfect
place if you are in the mood to escape.
Bay Beaches
Corpus Christi Beach
TX-35/ US-181, CC Beach exit
Known for its calm waters, Corpus Christi
Beach is the ideal beach for swimmers
and children. Its northern stretch remains
primitive and is a great, quiet place for a
jog, a stroll through nature or a pleasant
dog-walk. Enjoy the views of the nearby
attractions! Winner of the Best Restored
Beach Award by the American Shore and
Beach Preservation Association.
McGee Beach
Shoreline Blvd.
Because of its location along the Corpus
Christi Bay, the calm water is virtually free
of seaweed making this beach perfect for
children. Concession stand/restaurant/
rentals available; bring along a fishing
rod and bait for fishing from the jetties.
Also awarded the Best Restored Beach
Award by the American Shore and Beach
Preservation Association.
